Another lovely break here - despite the snow and ice! -and we had a really relaxing time, the hotel staff ensuring we had a great two days. Our room (a Junior Suite), the service, and the facilities were exemplary - the food nearly so except for our final breakfast where our respective orders were muddled up and some items were missed of altogether, but that's a really minor point in an overall great two days away. Will definitely return! Collapse

Loved our stay at Ashdown park hotel, it’s in a lovely location in the country and all the staff were so polite and friendly and it was never too much of an ask for anything. The food in the restaurant was very good too. The room was lovely, big and spacious with the most comfortable bed. The only minor issue is that the shower leaked. The Spa was nice but not as big as I thought, I also didn’t like the fact that the men and women had separate saunas and steam rooms in their changing rooms...so me and my partner spent a big part of our Spa expierence in seperate facilities which isn’t ideal! My massage was nice and the massage bed was comfortable. I would come back to stay in the hotel but I probably wouldn’t bother with the Spa again. Collapse
Fantastic setting but rather tired hotel and not easy with very small children

Fantastic grounds and a beautiful old building, but we found the interior and service to be rather tired, especially for the high prices. Our room was a good size, clean and comfortable. The swimming pool was very nice. Staff were all very polite but sometimes service was slow and errors were made with orders. We took our 4 children aged 18 months, 3 and 6 and found it not that easy with very small children e.g. we could only give then dinner at kids early eating time in the lounge area on very low tables and sofas tricky for them to eat. Overall a lovely setting and attractive old hotel but service could be tightened up and attention to detail improved to be worth the cost. Collapse
A wonderful break in a fantastic setting
