My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Ask for a room with a big balcony, the view is great. I found the staff very friendly and helpful. There were a lot of stairs to get to the beach from the hotel but I think you'll get this wherever you stay in Positano. The hotel is a little bit away from the main tourist area, which suited us because it was a little bit quieter. There were still lots of great places nearby to eat/drink. Collapse

This hotel was decent and par for the course for Positano. Has everything you need and is right next to a bus stop - you need to take a bus to get to the hotel from the port. Obviously you can walk but its an insane hike. Views from the room were spectacular and great restaurants nearby. However, I will note 2 things. First - I stayed in the room one afternoon because I was sick and cleaning service came in and flipped the room in about 5 mins - so that made me think they didn't clean thoroughly. Secondly, the male staff at the front desk were extremely creepy and rude. I (a woman) traveled with my mom and sister and the 2 different men at the front desk (they worked different days) made us extremely uncomfortable to the point that we were relieved when we would walk by the desk and see a woman working instead. This discomfort kind of messed up our stay. However, we had a good time, just watch out for the insane hike up to the hotel from the beach. Collapse

This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in. The staff were the highlight they were very friendly and always going above and beyond to help us out. They advised us one some amazing local restaurants and organised a lot of our transfers. Our rooms were very spacious and the balcony have an amazing view of the water. Very clean and tidy. I would highly recommend staying here when visiting Positano!! Collapse
Overpriced and worthy of only 2 stars by any International Standard

I booked this hotel for myself and a friend, with whom I travel every summer. To describe this as a 4 star hotel is frankly farcical and should be investigated by any authoritative and independent grading association. The hotel is basic, clean but lacking on so many levels. not least of which is a decent internet connection, which is only really available in the lobby or ground floor of the building. The rooms are simply furnished, tired and dull and lacking in most of the modern conveniences, you would expect of a hotel boasting to be 4 star. We booked and paid for 'Executive Rooms' with Sea Views, what we were allocated were basic rooms with tiny balconies in need of a paint and a cramped bathroom, where you would need to be a contortionist to use the toilet as it butts up against an under basin shelf very poorly designed. The stainless steel fixtures are old and discoloured, the mini bar and furnishings uncomfortable and the pillows and bedding more akin to seaside Bed & Breakfast than a 4 star hotel. Breakfast is buffet style, basic and served in a cramped room where it is difficult to manoeuvre between tables when the restaurant is busy at Breakfast time. The restaurants recommended by the charming front of house staff are all ordinary and clearly subject to commission and kick backs. Do your own research. This is not a luxury hotel or indeed anything that barely resembles a luxury hotel although the rates per night rival that of grand 5 star hotels with all the embellishments of luxury in cities around the world. Do your own research but prepare otherwise for a basic accommodation experience, lacking on so many levels for a modern traveller. What should have been a memorable stay turned out to be a disappointment because of the quality of accommodation here. The walk down to town is easy but be prepared for a little panting on the way back up again. Collapse

Where do I even start... As soon as we entered the hotel to check in which took us literally a whole hour to do, it just all went down hill from there! First of all, the staff are not friendly, not helpful or informative. The lady at the reception while checking in was so negative with every response she had to say! Through our 4 night stay, not once did any of the staff help us or give us any kind of information that would help us around Positano! Which should be the quite opposite when it comes to a hotel. The breakfast is a complete FAIL! In terms of the coffee, orange juice, the variety and etc. Not once were we able to enjoy the breakfast at the hotel, to the extend where my friends and I decided to have breakfast outside on our last day! Do not even get me started about our room. Not once during my 4 night stay I was able to walk bare foot in the hotel room from how dirty and filthy the floor was. We found 2 HUGE spiders twice, the room was so dusty! Just a complete disaster when it came to the cleanliness of the room! Also, very poor phone service and WIFI connection in the rooms! Honestly, for the crazy price that we paid for this hotel, it was not worth one single penny! I would never recommend this hotel to anybody or would never even come back to it! I disliked everything about it! Whenever we would come back to the hotel, we would be so miserable that we had to stay here! If it were not for Positano being full and sold out with hotels, I would have packed my bags and left to another hotel from the moment I saw how negative, rude and unfriendly the staff were! NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL! Collapse
