The bubbles that greet you in reception on arrival really do set the tone for this wonderful boutique hotel. I had visited in October this year already and couldn't wait to return again , this time for a girls mid week break away. The bright and fresh decor of this hotel immediately puts you in holiday mode. Our room was quite simply amazing with the most enormous comfy bed I have ever encountered with a massive multi channel flat screen TV. These rooms have been well thought out they are spacious with a superb color scheme and are totally luxurious . The private balcony contained our own really comfy loungers as well as table and chairs. I loved the bathroom with oodles of products and a fab power shower. The freshly stocked ( and indeed replenished daily !!) fridge is a really nice touch and as a tea and coffee addict I got what is always usually lacking in Spanish hotels - Tea and coffee facilities in the room!! The half board here is fantastic value for money. The breakfast really is a morning treat to behold and having stayed all over Andalucia of late it was the best Ive ever encountered, between the fresh delicious choices available at the buffet & the tasty fresh cooked to order selection- amazing! The evening meals proved equally delicious with a varied 3 course choice every night all served up with a smile and some real pride from the staff. The pool area along with jacuzzi was calm and sheltered and proved really warm even in December ! We were able to enjoy lunch poolside , perfect for a lazy afternoon in the sun. Every one of the staff, reception ,waiting staff, cleaning ladies couldn't have done enough to make our stay more perfect . They are all so so friendly and clearly enjoy what they do . I couldn't recommend this spot highly enough , definitely a cut above the rest and the perfect getaway location for either a short breakaway or if your lucky enough a nice extended vacation. Collapse

After doing Northern European cities and their Christmas Markets in November for many years, my Wife put in a request "can we go somewhere warm this year, and do very little". Bit of research pointed us to the Canaries and Lanzarote "the land of perpetual Spring" that'll do. Where to stay? A friend with property there said Puerto del Carmen as it's pretty central, so had a look about and found Aqua Suites on Easy Jet holidays with their flights fitting our requirements. Reading reviews on here Aqua Suites sounded good, Half Board with the option to swap dinner for lunch, looking at the abundant all inclusive deals on offer, all seemed to have restrictions and provisos, so this looked spot on. We weren't wrong, the entrance was low key, reception likewise but stylish, a very warm welcome helped with a glass of bubbles as we checked in and were given the low down, then off to our room. On the walk to the room the one thing you couldn't help but notice was how neat and clean the place was. Over our stay you quickly noticed that someone was cleaning something somewhere from dawn to dusk (and beyond) and in no way was this intrusive. Our room was on the outer edge of this small complex, upstairs. When we opened the door the first thing to greet us was the huge bed, in a generous sized room, as you do when you get into a hotel room you explore everything. Very nice bathroom, and a second good sized bedroom over looking the sunken swimming pool, with the wardrobes and cupboards in: all very neat clean and tidy. Found the kettle, filter coffee machine, and fridge which as promised contained the complimentary drinks including the big bottle of water which was replenished daily at no charge. Just one more place to explore, the Balcony, large double doors opened out on to a balcony large enough for 2 sun loungers a table and 2 chairs, and we were facing in the right direction to get the sun all day long, plus we could see the sea over the buildings down the hill towards the beach. The only concern was overlooking the one way street that passed the other side of the perimeter wall, but to be honest you never noticed it the traffic was so infrequent. 15 minutes in so far impressed. Having been up early for the flight, the rumble in the tummy took us down to the pool bar for something to eat: crispy chicken wraps hit the spot. Here we met Mandy, who like all the staff we came into contact with made our stay even more enjoyable. With regard to the restaurant, breakfast was plentiful, you wanted crispy bacon with your choice of eggs it was delivered, fancied a glass of fizz with your toast it was there waiting for you to have. Before you got into breakfast the first drill was to inspect the blackboard for what was for dinner or lunch so you could choose which included meal to go for, which also determined the amount of breakfast to stock up on. My Wife can be a picky eater, so wherever we go there is always the need to research restaurants to ensure there are bits she likes, I think there was only one night where she didn't overly enjoy her main, the best night was when they fired up the BBQ on the pool side the meat was very good indeed. All in all very good. We hired a car for a mooch about during the day and as a result opted for dinner every night. I will add that the prices for a bottle of wine with dinner were pleasantly reasonable. There are without doubt cheaper options but if you are looking for something a little bit quiet, (high season is probably a bit different), smart, very nice clean and tidy, with the beach and the razzmatazz of the seafront strip just a short walk down the gentle hill, you can't go too far wrong with opting to stay here. I only share this because it would be wrong not to.

A part of me would want you never to find out about this place because its popularity might drive it out of my reach. However, that would let down all the truly lovely, understated and attentive people that made mine and my wife stay so so memorable. Its not on the beach which is so great. If I want to spend my night with 10000 screaming holiday makers down on the strip I can have a leisurely stroll do to the beach front and then return to this little oasis away from the "fun". We studied trip advisor for the best tapas, the best steak etc etc and what we found is that the food in the resort was just completely average and over priced. It didnt take us long to realise that Aqua Suites are just streets ahead of any restaurant we visited anywhere on the island. Recommendations If its barbecue night do not go out ....stay in as it is absolutely wonderful. If you spot beetroot salad on the starter menu ....stay in as it is unbelievable. I could have had this just a main course. Duck in Masala sauce was sublime....etc etc etc To be honest there was something marvellous every day .....every day. Breakfast. This the only place abroad I have been where you get genuinely "english" type smoked bacon and a proper sausage. The eggs are cooked fresh and are just wonderful. Reviews tell you that this is the second highly rated hotel in the whole of the Canary Islands but you will pay, in some cases, several thousand pounds to stay in less well rated hotels just in Lanzarote. This is a fantastic hotel with amazing food that is sophisticated and very well appointed. You will not do better anywhere on the island. Collapse
A total gem!

My husband and I stayed at Aqua Suites for 4 nights at the end of November along with some friends. We could not recommend the hotel more highly. I dont think any fault could be found! On arrival we were greated with a friendly welcome and a glazz of fizz! This set the fabulous standard which was met for the rest of our stay. The rooms were beautiful, fresh and spacious with large comfortable beds. The pool and jacuzzi clean and pleasent to relax in. The food at breakfast time offered a great range of choice with hot food cooked to order. And the staff all so friendly and helpful, Geraldine and her team should be so proud of the hotel and service. Collapse
