Stayed 13/7-20/7 Room 348 on the first night we reported the AC wasn't working we were asked if we had shut the door as it doesn't work other wise as we hadn't we said we would do so hoping it was then ok - still no AC reported Friday AM and PM still nobody came - Saturday AM, PM and Eve still nobody came, Saturday AM, PM EVE same thing, finally Sunday morning the reception took notice we had maintainance, there by the time we got back, tried to mend it and also the bathroom window as the catch was broken, went off to get something after an hour I called reception and he returned mended the window but said the AC could not be mended and as the contracts were in Tenerife they would not be back until Monday moved to room 356, AC working room lovely and cool, we then went out for the day and returned around 4 no towels and a broken kettle in the room on the way to the pool reported to reception - after dinner went back to find an apology Cheap Champagne and a tray of fruit which would have been a nice touch if we had a working kettle and towels!! Rang reception was asked if I needed towels straight away and they were delivered by housekeeping no kettle - kettle was there after we returned from a night in town. The restaurant and bar staff are great friendly and so hard working, food plentiful with a different theme every night always something really nice to eat, the bar is very expensive if you are not all inclusive 3:20 euros for a small plastic cup of beer. Rooms were always clean but they do not work Monday's or Friday's, the complex is constantly being cleaned all day. If you want a sunbed take your towels to breakfast as people are like vultures once they are unlocked grab one then even if you are not staying by the pool all day otherwise you have no chance. Animation team are great with the kids but there is no adult based entertainment. The pool area gets crowded, there are loads of kids running around while there parents get drunk so they are unsupervised, I guess this is what you get with a cheaper hotel, one child was attacking all the kids scratching one little boy quite badly 3times on the face and pushing under the water the parent were just not interested the dad was blind drunk in the middle of the afternoon!!! His excuse was his child is autistic in that case shouldn't he be closely watched? So to sum up the rooms are nice and clean, restaurant, bar staff and cleaners great, food is more than adequate but the reception staff and reporting of problems leave a hell of a lot to be desired, would I go back no it is such a shame as until the problems were not resolved in a timely manner really spoilt the holiday for us I was impressed at first but this is as honest review asi can give Collapse

Visited THB flora on 3 occasions last week for an afternoon drink and to see some special friends. My partner and i met at this hotel 5 years ago and we have gone back to PDC every year since, and although we have not stayed at the THB flora (as we have other accommodation) I just want to say that the staff, management and the service at this hotel is amazing. The staff work very hard and they are friendly, helpful and consistent. This hotel goes from strength to strength every year. If you want to stay in a hotel that is great for kids, provides a great service, is value for money and you will not regret staying at, then choose the Flora. Collapse

We are here now on our last day and I feel furious with how we have been treated. We arrived at 9.30pm with 2 tired children on our first holiday abroad. Despite giving my children's ages 9 & 5 we were given a 1 bed apartment with a sofa bed and a travel cot. My daughter is too small for this so we had to get it swapped. Then once we got settled it seemed fine. The room was very hot that night but we put it down to us adjusting to the climate. Turns out the air con was broken. When we told reception they told us they would send a technician out, 2 hours later we called again to be told it was too late and would be the next day now. So we waited and the next day they had to come twice to fix it with us waiting around. Meanwhile we tried to have showers but the bathroom kept flooding into the bedrooms. Seeing this wasn't normal we called reception again and someone came over and when they removed the drain sewage spread over out hotel room. We were then given another room and had to remove out things from the stinking apartment to a new one. Hoping we would finally be able to enjoy our holiday we hired a car and had a couple of days out which were amazing. The volcano and caves were a massive hit and would recommend them. Once we came back to the hotel we felt like we had mistakenly come to benidorm. The noise was awful, several lots of music thumping away. Our room was next door to the pool toilets and we were kept awake till 3am. This is all on the quiet side of the hotel as well!! We tried to call reception but discovered the phone didn't work, when ever we tried to come to the noisy pool to use the bar my children were punched or witnessed a man urinating into the pool. We felt disgusted. The restaraunt is hectic. I feel like I'm at a child's play barn, too noisy to hold a conversation. I have children so I am no stranger to noise but this is something else. The saving grace of the restaurant is the amazing staff that work there. Nothing is too much and they always have a smile. I can't fault them. So here we are on our final day and we have to leave the room at 12 and our coach isn't till 6pm. We have asked to keep our room so my children can play in the quiet pool and I can shower them etc in time to go. We have been told no its €30 for another room on the noisy side. The manager has refused to speak to us and we have just been told over and over €30. To say we are upset and angry is an understatement. We will never return here and we will advise anyone to save their money and go somewhere else!! Collapse

We spent 7 days at the Flora hotel. This was roughly my tenth visit to the hotel (most visits as a child). We were placed into the newly refurbished accommodation across the far side of the site. The room had ample space, but was poorly designed, with the entrance door opening directly onto the bed (restricting the full opening of the door). The room is tastefully designed and with ample white goods. We soon noticed that the air con unit was not working and raised this issue to staff, this took 3 days to fix, which is unacceptable.. We had the all-inclusive upgrade, which was very reasonably priced at €24.50 per day. The food was as expected for a 3 star hotel, no issues but nothing to shout about. The drinks selection was basic, but again, as expected. The staff were fantastic and extra credit goes to the restaurant and bar staff. The pools.... this is the main reason I might struggle to return to the hotel again, although the pools and surrounding area is cleaned in the morning and evening, the areas get extremely dirty. This mainly litter, empty cups, general dirt. This is due to a number of the people staying at the hotel (couples with 5 kids, letting them run around and not caring what they do!). The parents are happy to leave empty cans, crisp packets etc all over the floor. Its disgusting when you are walking around the pool and there half eaten fish fingers on the floor!! Also, good luck if you want a sunbed, you'll have to fight / argue with the "rough uns" as they have "reserved" that spot (although the hotel claims you can't...). Listening to other hotel users threatening to punch others isn't how I enjoy my holidays. Although there is nothing that can be done about who attends the hotel, just be wary!!! We did have some special requirements, these and were sorted via email prior to the visit and the hotel staff were more than happy to help. This was a definite plus. However, I did enjoy the visit, but out of my last visits this one was the worst. I'd recommend it, but it needs work to make it more appealing as other hotels in the same price bracket may be a better choice. I do think my views this visit may have been warped by unsavoury scenes from other guests rather than the hotels downfall.. maybe the hotel can enforce stricter regulations on hotel patrons that are disrespectful / inconsiderate?
