Thb flora is amazing place to stay rooms are clean and nice size. Food is good something for everyone every night there is a different countries cuisine. Staff are polite and friendly will help you with anything you need. Animation team where amazing really hands on full of energy especially Judit who stood out always has a smile on her face is full of beans. When doing an activity she is fully involved makes everyone love us as a family lived her and she was the face thb flora Especially for my son Harry who she seem to bring out of his shell and everyday he would look for her and get out of pool for 11o clock just so he could hi five her Amazing holiday as it was kids first aboard I will definitely be back to stay at the thb flora Collapse

Been coming here years lovely friendly staff . Lovely greeting from Aday when we arrived he always makes us feel very welcome aslo a mention to Isabella Jerronimo on front desk and Carlos who sorts our holiday out . The house keeping staff that kept our room spick and span . The room had been refurbished this year . Loved the a/c and the new walk in shower was great . We had a great time . We always go self catering as we like using the different restaurants . Thanks flora another great holiday Collapse

We visited the flora for the second year running from 25th July to 04 th august 2017. 2 adults 3 kids. We stayed all inclusive. We booked direct with the hotel and saved money (flights desperate). Got a taxi within minutes of exiting the arricife airport, 5 of us and cases was €20 to the hotel. No need to pay a fortune on transfers with a holiday company. On arrival you can't check in until 3pm. There is a luggage storage room and a nice changing room/shower to use until you have access to your room. We stayed in room 388 this year over the road again. Rooms have been newly renovated and aircon in each room which worked perfectly for our whole stay. TVs in each room. (We had 2 bed apartment) towels changed twice a week and no cleaners Mondays and fridays. Pool area is lovely. As with most hotels the sun bed situation is a pain but it's not too bad. We always managed to get 3 sun beds. One bug bare is why do people feel the need to get their whole family a sun bed for instances for young kids that are in the pool all day. Food. For the price you pay the food is actually very very good. Each evening is a different theme. Italian, canary island, Mexican, Spanish, Arabian, Asian. Breakfast there were croissants, sausage bacon, beans, fresh cooked eggs, fresh pancakes lemon sugar, chocolate, fresh juice (near the milk). The animation team are amazing Judit Jessica and the girls lovely. The eve entertainment for adults after the mini disco is not great some evenings bingo and the music quiz is crap. The magician is good, the owl show will send you to sleep. I'm sure most adults would just prefer a Dj to play decent music. The kids mini disco was great for little ones (and adults lol) The beach down the road is great. Take bread to feed the fish, kids will love it. The bus outside the hotel the Puerto del carmen beach is good. We walked down to the beach every afternoon with our kids and the other families we met. Jumped of the jetty in the sea and then snorkelled with the fish. Overall a great hotel and great location. Would return for third time :) Collapse

Was abit apprehensive visiting this hotel after the bad reviews but please don't let this bother you. We stayed here for 2 weeks as a family of 4, boys aged 9 and 6 and we were pleasantly surprised. Staff very welcoming and accommodating, animation team fantastic with lots to do for all and very friendly working very hard. Food option with theme night great idea giving you the option to try new foods and if not plenty of other options and plenty for kids with snacks after meal times. Entertainment couldn't fault fun for all. Rooms clean and tidy no air con but option to hire fan which did the trick. The sun beds could be a problem due to guests been greedy putting towels on and not seen all day but we always managed to get them. Overall fantastic holiday what you'd expect for 3 star would recommend for families. Collapse

We stayed at the Flora from 27th June to 11th July with our 3 children (9,7,4) We stayed in a superior apartment and were all inclusive. Location of the hotel is about 10 mins uphill from old town Puerto del Carmen so not ideal for small legs but taxis were cheap and the walk down was fine. Accomodation wise I couldn't fault the apartment to be honest. We did have an issue with cleaning the first week ( they only cleaned our apartment once) but once i had complained there was no issue the second week. It was on the quieter side of the property across the road from reception but there was a tunnel joining the 2 sides of the property so going over and back to the main areas was very safe. We stayed at the pool on our own side most of the time as it was quieter but it was very deep and there was no lifeguard. I am not a good swimmer so I could not go into it. It wasn't a problem for us as the kids and my husband can swim but It might pose a problem for others. What was slightly annoying was having to go over and back for drinks and snacks to the main area as they had a 2 drinks per person rule so for a family of 5 that was not ideal. I can understand the rule for alcohol but I felt it was a bit ridiculous for water and soft drinks. Especially considering the distance involved for people staying across the road!! The main pool area was very crowded and there was the usual sunbed hogging so we only went there a few times. Life is too short to fight over a sunbed!! Food in the restaurant was fine. Could have been a few more options for kids and vegetarians at dinner but there was a good variety of meats etc most nights and always plenty of salads. The entertainment area was a disappointment as it was really small, outdoors and so cold!! Heaters or something would be helpful outside to keep the cold at bay in the evenings as it was very open and so windy you would need to be wrapped up warmly. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful in the bar, restaurant and reception but the staff that stood out the most were Judit and Anna, the entertainment team. Judit in particular was just fabulous with the kids and so friendly and chatty. My children so looked forward to the kids disco every night. They did not have an easy job as the entertainment area was so small it was not ideal by any means. They were also the only two staff in entertainment so that limited what they could offer but they did a great job nonetheless. They have since gotten a 3rd staff member on the team so that might take the pressure off a bit. The hotel is not perfect and definite improvements could be made when we compare it to other hotels we have stayed in but we enjoyed it. Collapse
