Just recently returned from a 4 night stay and once again wasn't disappointed. Great location. Just a short walk on to the main strip. The staff at the hotel can't do enough for you. This was my second stay and we had a bottle of wine left in the room for us, a really nice gesture. Will definitely be back next year Collapse

We visited here for a weeks get away booked through jet2 and I have to say we were not disappointed the reception staff are very helpful and friendly, our room was very spacious and clean with the maids cleaning everyday bar Thursday and Sunday. The pool area was not too busy but this maybe because it was September so we didn't have to worry about getting sun beds. The location is just a 5 minute walk to the bars and restaurants with plenty of choice for good food .On our departure day we dropped our cases off at the jet2 desk in reception and didn't have to worry about them until we landed at EMA which was really nice as it made our return home so much easier and stress free especially at the airport. I have just returned from a weeks stay here. I used to visit every year when I was younger with my parents and haven't been to Alcudia or the Siesta for 10 years, so was great to return. A lovely hotel with everything you need and so close to the main strip which is laced with bars and restaurants, a short walk to the beach and around a 30 min walk to the port but a pleasant walk. The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful, Elaine was super helpful and friendly as always! Gabriel on reception helped us book a meal in the port and was really helpful and friendly too. Our room was a poolside view room and had all the facilities needed for our stay. The maids came everyday bar a Thursday and a Sunday and were lovely, friendly and efficient. Overall a lovely hotel and a friendly feel to it and great to be back in Alcudia. Collapse

Just back from Alcudia, apartment was spacious & clean, had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. Kitchen & bathroom need an update but very clean & functional, my only negative was our apartment was next to the lifts so could hear them throughout the night, luckily we took earplugs with us otherwise wouldn't have been able to sleep. Only spent one afternoon (after arrival) by the pool as the beach is a 10 minute walk away and is beautiful with plenty of places to eat. Hired 2 loungers for one day (only had 1 fully sunny day) €13 for 2 for the whole day includes a safe so handy to lock away phones & purses. Very large beach with plenty of beds however all taken by 11am so get there early if you want a lounger. The sand is wet if lying on a towel and I mean wet!! Lots of people took blow up beds to lay on, would have done the same if staying longer as €13 a day is expensive!! Water shallow so great for kids & us non swimmers. The walk to the beach is full of shops/pubs & restaurants although very British (Full English in 30degrees....not for me). We eat in The Port a long walk but pleasant for the hot summer nights. We recently stayed at Siesta 1 and the overall stay was lovely although there were a couple of things I’d like to mention. The hotel itself is one of the furthest away from the beach (on that strip) although it is still right next to the bars and within a short walk to the beach (20 mins approx.) When we first arrived at the hotel we were instantly annoyed with the fact that there was only one person on reception (as lovely as he was!) trying to check everyone in, so we were left waiting which after travelling for ten hours was the last thing we wanted. The room was clean and tidy however the rooms aren’t cleaned two days a week, this is the first time I’ve ever known not to have my room cleaned and the beds made every day – this isn’t an issue for us as every other day we put the “do not disturb” sign on as we don’t think that it needs doing every day. I just wanted to inform people in case you liked your bed being made every day. We travelled with family so had three rooms, two being next to each other and my mums (even though the same price rooms) was nicer than ours, they had nice photos on the wall, a television twice the size and fitted to the wall therefore easier to watch whilst in bed, a corner group sofa and modern kitchen appliances (ours were old) There were also another couple of uses with the room, the kitchen is hidden behind aligning doors one of which was off of the runner, our front door did not lock making us feel unsafe and the bathroom door wouldn’t shut, admittedly, we did not report these issues as we didn’t want to wait in for the contractor and wasn’t prepared to have someone come in and repair these whilst we weren’t there due to previously having items stolen (NOT from this Hotel) I can’t therefore knock the hotel as I’m sure these issues would have been repaired if I had reported them. The shower……Dangerous!!! The water goes from the temperature you set it to freezing then (more worryingly) scalding hot to the point where my niece was burnt, this wasn’t just an issue with our room as all three rooms that we booked were the same. If there is a problem regulating the temperature (which is understandable in such a large building) then put a warning up in the bathroom explaining that the temperature can fluctuate. The “buffet” is very small, so if you’re going half board then please don’t expect a large buffet where they are continuously cooking and replacing food. Here they have a set menu of three dishes for the main, so something like white fish, pork ribs & chicken curry – that’s all you can choose from, there is a large salad bar and they usually have pizza, chips/potatoes, nuggets etc. then dessert is normally a choice of two cakes and two ice creams. Breakfast is fab, has everything you would normally expect, cooked breakfast, cakes, toast/bread, cereals, juice etc. One thing about the restaurant that was a major issue was the amount of fly’s crawling all over the food due to it being uncovered and without a fly light, this put us off so much that for three of our seven days we did not eat in the hotel, I found this utterly disgusting. They would literally be walking all over the food. The pool is a good size and has a separate shallow end for babies and toddlers. The pool is in some disrepair, there are several tiles missing from the bottom of the pool resulting in my mum actually cutting her foot! Again though I do understand that pools can’t just be emptied during people’s holidays for minor maintenance, I’d rather arrive on holiday to a few tiles missing rather than an empty pool! Although same as the water temperature issue, a warning notice would be good. The pool looks like it needs a good clean, there is a yellow tide mark around the outside which looks very unsightly – although we did see someone testing the water during our stay. – *Warning* the pool doesn’t allow lilos, only tyres, so don’t waste your money on a lilo for the kiddies when you get there!! They have a fantastic children’s pool with water features etc. One of the features is a large bucket (around 1 metre deep) which fills with cold water then empties every 5 minutes or so, rather like a giant ice bucket challenge which is a lot of fun (even for the adults he he) Overall this is a very nice hotel and has everything families want, the night-time entertainment is fantastic for children and they do usually have a game of Bingo around 9:15 for the adults followed by a singer or other live entertainment. They also hold a music quiz which is good fun. The Hotel is right next to the nightlife although it’s all English/Irish bars so if you’re looking for somewhere more traditional then the port has some lovely little bars on the beach and has beautiful scenery.
