We had an excellent time at the Ferrera Beach Apts. We had one of the adults only suites which gave us access to the adults infinity pool which was to die for (fabulous). Fresh lime trees outside our room which was modern and clean. Cooking facilities are minimal, but we were always planning to eat out and made the most of the local bars and restaurants in Cala Ferrera. From check in to check out we had a lovely time at the apartments and I would recommend the adult suites. We were a group of 3 x 30+ ladies on a long weekend. Collapse

Just returned from a lovely short break at Ferrera Beach. On the night of arrival (as our coach driver got lost on the way, Transunion of all people!) we arrived late-ish and initially (after the reception guy opened the shop for quick supplies) were taken to an older block about 5 minutes away from the main complex. Although this block was large and more traditionally designed with a small private pool, the beds were so poor we decided that in the morning we would take up the offer to transfer to the main complex. The room we were given in block C was fantastic! Very modern, contemporary designed with large comfy sofa and memory foam beds. The apartment was clean with minimal signs of wear. The kitchen was serviceable with a decent hob (which got hot quick) a new microwave and adequate storage space. The bathroom was once again quite modern complete with nice shower cubicle and hairdryer supplied. One problem with the shower it did heat in pulses and did become very hot no matter how you tried to adjust it. This could be a problem for small children. The living space was generous for a couple and had a great patio with a fantastic view of the valley At night it was cozy and nicely lit with spot lights and subtle wall lighting. The bedroom area also was very pleasant with tasteful decor large wardrobe with free safe, dressing table and its own small patio door and balcony. The room was cleaned 3 times within the week to an acceptable standard. The aparthotel has a two nice pools one set a little way from the main pool and is chargeable. We didn't feel the need to use this as the main pool wasn't busy this being October. The pool bar was excellent and the barman was very pleasant and hard-working and loved making up cocktails! (Prices very good). There was a little kids paddling pool to the side of the main pool but because the dive school liked to wash their equipment in it it wasn't very clean! The breakfast area was very pleasant and the food was perfectly fine with a good choice of options and great coffee. Around the hotel, the beach is a 5 minute walk (down a harsh slope) and is one of those typical small Cala's you get in this area. The water wasn't the clearest but there had been storms the night before. There is a great cafe bar to the left of the beach with amazing food and service, well worth checking out. Heading into Cala D'or (about 10 mins walk) you have some nice bars on the way. We particularly liked the Polynesian themed bar which played great music, decent priced drinks and great atmosphere. On the whole, for this time of year late in the season I would highly recommend this hotel and Cala Ferrera in general. It is a nice area in itself and close enough to the marvellous Cala D'or if you want more. We would definitely return late in the season another time hopefully next year. Collapse

Just returned from a seven night all inclusive break. The apartment was clean and tidy, with two sofas, coffee table and dining table, a small kitchenette, bedroom with two single beds, built in wardrobes, bedside tables plus a safe inside the wardrobe. Bathroom with large shower. The balcony overlooked the swimming pool. Although this was an out of season break, with the hotel closing at the end of October, the restaurant offered a wide selection of foods across breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu varied on a daily basis and offered value for money. There are sunbeds available around the pool and a poolside bar. Along with the main pool there is also an adults only pool for five euros per day. The apartments are approximately five minutes walk from the beach and fifteen minutes walk to the town centre. It should be noted that to access the restaurant and the beach requires walking down a forty five degree slope which could be a big problem for anyone disabled. The apartments are adequate but could do with upgrading. The cleaners visit every other day but only to replace the towels and make the beds! Any free shampoos/gels used, are not replaced! Overall we had a lovely time, the staff were very polite and professional, but two in particular help to make our stay great. Firstly "Juan" the barman at the pool bar was excellent, he looked after our needs throughout our stay and nothing was too much trouble for him and secondly Kamilla in the restaurant. She was absolutely brilliant, greeting us on arrival with a smile, and regularly checking if there was anything we needed, and again, nothing was too much trouble for her. Juan and Kamilla are a credit to the Hotel. I would recommend this hotel for both adults and children. Being out of season meant for a quiet break.....in the height of the season could prove otherwise. Collapse

Booked a 4 night break at the Ferrera Beach for a "chill out" with a friend. We booked a 1 bed apartment on All Inclusive and we were very pleased with the accommodation; Room 402, Main Block overlooking the pool - Gorgeous aspect, the balcony had sun all afternoon til around 7:00pm. There were only 12 people booked in for AI but the food was plentiful, if rather limited in choice. However, it was the staff that really made the break so enjoyable. Reception and restaurant staff were always attentive but it was the young Bar Manager that excelled...He remembered everyone's preferences, was !00% efficient and a credit to the hotel. There are however lots of steps to negotiate; both to the rooms and to the pool & bar and also down to the restaurant and beach so may not be suitable for less able bodied. Collapse

I stayed here with my husband and 3 young children in August.. PROS Apartments are clean and spacious 2 minutes from the beach The pool is huge Friendly staff Plenty of nice restaurants to choose from. Main strip is great for young children CONS Entertainment not so good, they haven't got a big enough space for anything to work. Towels on sunbeds!!! We were on the floor for the first few days so we decided to join in with claiming a sunbed, got up at 7:30 but we were still too late to get a decent spot. Collapse
