Anything else is a bonus.Ignore the bad reviews. If you are expecting hair dryers, fluffy slippers and dressing gowns you are mad. This place is unbelievably good value for money.2 weeks including flights and baggage for £330!..The place is clean and basic. Staff bent over backwards with anything we asked.I would return in a heartbeat.Value for money is an understatement, Yes, it's a little dated, I don't care! I care about relaxing in the sun. Every apartment is south facing. If you don't fancy the pool you can laze around on your patio area/garden.I rate this solely on the price paid.If you expect 5 star you will be disappointed. Go somewhere else. Leave the Capri to the wise ones! Collapse

Cheap and cheerful, we stayed in a duplex, stairs a bit steep but manageable. You do have to rent kettle and toaster, but we didn't bother we boiled water in a small saucepan. Checked in without any trouble, but we did have a problem when our toilet was blocked, and was told we would have to wait till the following day as the maintenance man had finished for the day, I used to be a hospital domestic and unblocked it myself. There is a snack bar/restaurant on site food is ok. You are in the middle of nowhere at these apartments, you can walk to holiday world about 5 minutes away, fairground open at nights, and a bowling alley that is open all day, a snack bar which has tidy food, a lovely Chinese restaurant and a bar. There is a free bus down to the beach 3 times in the mornings and returns 3 times in the afternoon. Taxis to the yumbo centre or playa del ingles cost about 4-5 euros each way. Personally I wouldn't return to Maspolomas only as I like more nightlife. Collapse

We arrived to a closed and locked reception, which wasn't a good start. We were given our key by who I think was the maintenance guy. We checked in and checked out to go elsewhere an hour later. We originally booked Capri for a short, inexpensive break. Having read other reviews we kind of knew what to expect and for what we paid, we weren't expecting a lot. However, budget accommodation should still be clean! This place was filthy. The bathroom was something else, dirty and not cleaned at all. It was all really very depressing and although I'm sure it looked really nice in the 1980's this place clearly has not been touched since then. I don't mind budget accommodation but this is so below what is acceptable in this day and age. Some reviews have already said the place needs some TLC but I think a JCB would be better. Luckily we have managed to book into Canary Garden Club last minute which for a few extra pounds/euros is far, far better. Sorry Capri, but you need to up your game! Collapse

Well the saying is you get what you pay for and in this case that is very true although Im not totally sure we even got that. My wife and I wanted a cheap early spring holiday to get away, relax and get a bit of sun. We booked the flights and hotel/bungalow via the web where the ratings were given as 2/3 star so we knew it was going to be basic but hey there is basic and there is basic, I would give it 1 star at best. On arrival we booked in only to be presented with a list of items what I would expect to be standard items within the bungalow but for which you had the option of hiring ie kettle, toaster, hair dryer, safe etc all the things you would normally find as standard particularly in a self catering accomodation. On arrival at our bungalow it initially seemed clean and tidy although on our second day we found a cock roach in the kitchen. The accommodation was on two floors, kitchen/dinner on the ground and bedroom/toilet upstairs. It loked like it hadn't long been painted, everything white emulsion but the furniture was old, tired and in need of updating. In the kitchen basic equipment, 2 of everything but little in the way of cooking equipment, so if you wanted to stay in and cook you had very little options, it had to be something that could be prepared on two hobs in a saucepan, there was no oven. Apart from breakfast we went out for our meals. The bed was hard and both my wife and I woke each morning with back ache. The bathroom was a cool 1970s style in olive green but again in desperate need of an upgrade, plenty of signs of on going repairs. The shower left a lot to be desired, be careful, it was either cold or scalding hot, fine adjustments were required. The resort/bungalows were situated in an area which was made up of mainly other self catering apartments/bugalows and far from the beach or anything you would hope to find in a tourist area, you needed a car to get anywhere, public transport was few and far between. There were no shops or restaurants apart from the one on site and absolutely nothing to do in the evenings so take a good book and dont rely on having a good signal on your phone or the on site wifi. Wifi is another optional extra, aproximately 30 euro's a week and phone signal is rubish. All in all our experience of this accomodation is dissapointing, yes its cheap but I now wish we had paid just a little bit more not only to have upgraded accomodation but to be nearer the beach front where everything is. To finish with another saying, if it looks to good to be true, it probably is. Collapse
