Writing this at 3 am in the morning having been woken up by the people leaving the nightclub next door who stand in the street shouting at each other (as people who are drunk tend to do). This is the second time I have been woken up since arriving, the first time was this morning (when the room opposite decided to start shouting at each other and I had a front row seat from my room). Whilst writing this there is a guy outside hammering on his room door because his key is not working so if the drunken revellers hadn't woken me up then he would have. On top of this my room is next to the lift so every time someone uses the lift I am treated to the sound of the lift going up and down and the doors opening and closing, You can also hear doors slamming all down the corridor. They really do need to get some sort of sound insulation worked out. I was already going to leave a negative review as I booked this hotel as it offered secure parking. I have driven up from Plymouth and needed a hotel with parking as close as possible to the hospital my daughter is in. I chose this hotel as it was the nearest one with parking and I didn't want to have to worry about my car. However there is very limited parking and they also allow non-residents to park there if they pay, so on coming home from the hospital this evening there was nowhere for me to park. The young lady behind reception advised me it was first come, first served and that I would have to park on the street (this being right where the nightclub empties out, as I had seen last night). I told them I could not park on the street as my car needed to be secure as I could not afford to have it vandalised or stolen as I had to drive my daughter back to Plymouth following major surgery. I was told that no-ones car had ever been stolen or vandalised, to which I replied that I knew that to be a lie as I had seen a motorbike that had been pushed over that morning not more than 50 meters from the front of the hotel. I have gone on to the hotel's website to see if I misread the parking and I cannot find anywhere where it says parking is limited (my god a phone is now ringing somewhere so maybe I am about to be treated to a 4am phone conversation). I told them that I wanted to cancel the rest of my stay as they had mis-sold the room as I could get a hotel closer to the hospital where I could park on the street and the only reason they had got my booking was because they were the closest hotel with parking that I could find. I asked to speak t a manager but there was not one on site (even though reception advised me Saturday is their busiest night). I asked for the number for their head office and was given the number for the front desk at the Kingston hotel, still no manager (that phone is still ringing somewhere, I wonder if it is the guy who is locked out of his room). Reception have refused to cancel the rest of my reservation so I can move to a hotel with secure parking and there is not a manager to be found anywhere. REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.. They finally allowed me to park next to the bins (probably just wanted to get rid of the angry old lady from their front desk) but cannot guarantee that I will get a place to park the rest of the week. So I will be leaving for the hospital every morning and returning at 10pm to find out whether I can park my car. Just what I will need after a really stressful day by a hospital bedside. Last few points, the phone in the room works sporadically, so ordering room service is a bit hit and miss. I cannot get the hotel's wifi to work - was told that happened if a lot of people tried to use it at once (using mobile tethering to get onto the internet). The restaurant next door, which seems to belong to the hotel as it supplies the room service, blares out really loud music so is not good for having a nice quiet meal (hence the attempt at room service) they also don't know how to cook a steak. The lock on the door doesn't close all the way and I am very tired and fed up. Never stay here unless you have come to party at the club next door and you don't drive. And on a final note, the guy next door has finally got into his room (4.09 am, with much slamming of door and top of voice conversation with wife/girlfriend). Collapse

the hotel is easy to fnd and well laid out, we benefited from a room at the rear of the hotel which was quiet and we had good sleep each night n a very comfortable bed, the room was very clean, staff were very professional and breakfast was well worth it, as much as you could eat of everything and always more available if requested. Breakfast staff were fantastic and polite, nothing was ever an issue. Its about 10 minute walk from the tube with plenty of eaterys to choose from. Our only criticism of our room was one of the shower cubicle, it was too small for myself and it had a high fixed shower head which made it impossible to rinse in places, other issue we didnt enjoy was restaurant next door which was stongly promoted by the hotel. Just back from a fantastic weekend in London. Stayed 2 nights B&B at the Antoinette Hotel, Wimbledon. The hotel was easy to find on the main road and easy access to the car park at the rear. The staff welcomed our arrival in an efficient, friendly and courteous way. Our room, a Club room, although a bit on the small side was clean, warm, furnished with everything we needed for a weekend stay. Our room was on the front of the hotel on the 1st floor, we like to have the window open at night and as the hotel is situated on the main road it can be quite noisy - I'm fairly sure it wouldn't be a problem if the windows were closed - we chose to have the windows open and put up with the revellers going by! We chose to catch the train into central London, the station is only 5-10 minutes walk down the road - paid about £14 for 2 adults return, not cheap but an excellent service. Back at the hotel the in-house breakfasts was delicious...there was a choice of buffet full english with eggs cooked to order to your liking, poached, fried, scrambled etc.and/ or a good range of cereals, fruits, cold meats, yogurts, bread, jam etc. I have to say I had the full english and it was one of the tastist I had in a long time. For the competitive amount we paid for our stay we could not have asked for better. The staff are a credit to this hotel and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay near central London. Thank you Hotel Antoinette staff - keep up the good work!! Collapse

Hired room for meeting for half day, food second rate, sandwiches for kids style, felt a bit 1974 to me, cannot use carpark unless sleeping over, so lousy for business user with car, spent 25 minutes looking for somewhere to park.
