We arrived late at night and we were checked in quite quickly. We paid a tourist tax- I did not know about this beforehand - of €7.50 for myself, my wife and one year old baby. The entertainment was in full flow,- and we mentioned the noise, where we were told we had a big room on the fifth floor away from the noise. We crammed our buggy, four bags and ourselves into a tiny lift and prayed it could get us to the fifth floor in one piece. We arrived in our room which was clean and had a travel cot set up for our son, and TWO SINGLE BEDS pushed together to form a 'double', even though they were made up as singles! Ah well, we thought, it's late and we need sleep, so we never mentioned it. The radiator was on full blast and we struggled to turn it down so we slept that first night with the balcony door open. With the pram, two beds and the cot, the room was very cramped at times, but it was only a base for us to explore the local area at first, however we decided to upgrade to full board after seeing the prices of eating out locally. We paid €120 (€20 per day per adult) to upgrade to include breakfast, lunch and dinner as we had a budget to stick to. On our first morning, the water supply stopped, and there was no juice, coffee or tea for breakfast. Communication from the staff was limited, and eventually during breakfast, they brought out bottled water for us in the dining room. We had to ask at reception several times as to when the water would be on again (we had baby things to clean) and we were told different times, eventually resulting in the water being back on by about 3pm- how did they wash up after breakfast?? The staff seemed to have a typical Spanish-style laid back approach to customer service, for example, it was my son's first birthday and there was a screen in the lobby which screamed that they could organise a cake. I asked at reception, and the guy knew nothing about it. He asked me when it was for, I said it was for tomorrow, he said to come back tomorrow. Not great. I spotted some massage chairs in the lobby and after the first night on the terrible single bed- and I was desperate to get some relief from the effects of sleeping on hard wood- when I saw that there was an 'OUT OF ORDER' sign on both of them. It seemed to be an epidemic from that point on, as almost every machine had an out of order sign- from the change machine to the air hockey game to the scales for baggage to the foosball table... Not a great impression! Food wise, it was very samey. Not your typical UK breakfast meat, but the bacon tasted the same. You could have boiled eggs, fried or scrambled eggs, toast, jam (marge only!) Cheese, ham and salad. Cereals with warm milk. Lunch varied, mostly pastas. some meat, fish and paella, and dessert of foamy-flavoured angel delight things, ice cream and fruit, Lots of salad, and the dinner was mostly the same. I found hairs in some of the food and this put me off. Had to buy drinks, but I mostly brought my own and nobody said anything. The staff here were great at cleaning and clearing the tables quickly and there were baby seats aplenty. We skipped meals here sometimes as dinner wasn't until 7pm, and our baby needed feeding before then, or we were out in the town. The 'Winds of Asia' spa pool was great, open from 10am until 6pm, it had a sauna, steam room and a smallish pool for up to 15 people (but nobody enforces this) and we had a lot of fun there. Best feature of the hotel. One thing to mention, near the spa almost always smelt like cat wee! Not sure why! Overall, don't expect too much- it's basic, cheap and not at the top range of three stars, however it's safe, secure and close enough to the town (about 15 minutes walk). They will look after your bags after check out if you aren't being collected until later. Wifi is expensive- €20 a week PER DEVICE! But we were on holiday so we didn't need it. TV wise, you can get one English speaking channel, BBC World news. Hope that if you book, you have a good experience! Collapse

Just got back from this hell hole after a 4 night stay all inclusive. Granted it was a cheap deal but still I would have expected to be treated decently, be fed safely and receive some value for my money. The room we were put in was worse than a Baghdad prison cell 4 beds crammed into a tiny box. The balcony looked out onto a small yard that was full of litter. After eating there on the 1st night my friend became violently sick and was in bed for the best part of 24hrs. He hadn't eaten or drank outside of the hotel at all. I soon followed with exactly the same symptoms we decided it was better to avoid the restaurant all together. Other people were also poorly during our stay and after listening to their stories I'm quite sure this was no coincidence. As for the all inclusive drinks package.. It is not worth a tap..forgive the pun. I spent almost 15 mins waiting at the bar for a beer in a small plastic smelly container (not worthy of being called a glass). The bar staff seem to treat paying customers with more dignity. On the opening night I went for the 1st of my 200+ toilet visits in the lobby, opened the door of the cubicle to find excrement all over the seat..The wall & the floor!!! There was a notice on the wall along the lines of " these toilets are cleaned every 2 hrs" but when I returned 4 hours later it was exactly the same!!! I do pity the person who had to clean it up as much as I pity the unfortunate soul who obviously made the mistake of eating the same food as I did. So take my review as you choose I am now off to contact the producers of "Banged up abroad" Collapse

Too many stag parties. Rooms dated and unclean. Food abysmal and cold. Salad rubbish. Very noisy both inside and out of hotel. Nightclub opposite until 05:00 am each day. Bar system very odd and inconvenient.

Rates as a family hotel. The smell of door would have knocked you out. When I complained I was told what do you want me to do throw them out on the street by the receptionist. The hotel is in tired and dated the sheet faded and the bathroom need a overall. One saving grace was the food.we where grateful that we where not sick. On check out our all inclusive was removed which includes water. Really horrible staff and would not recommend this hotel or any in the group for that matter. Collapse
