We've just come back from a week holiday in Barcelona where we stood at this hotel . Location wise , the hotel is perfectly positioned , about 10 min walk to Sagrada Familia which is a must see point and 5 minutes away from Sant Pau hospital which again is a good visit. From the airport El prat either bus T1 or T2 will bring you to placa Catalunya and from there bus no. 47 will bring you at the hotel , few steps away . Bus fare €2.15 per person . From the hotel to the beach is about half an hour walk or bus 45 straight to the port and beach , about 20 min. The actual hotel is very, very clean, I would say 4* , reception very friendly, english speakers , hotel has a small restaurant and coffee shop OPEN at time up to 11 in the evening . Rooms are a good size, spotless. My only downside was the noise coming from the traffic outside , I couldn't sleep very well in the morning and the lack of wifi reception in our room , it was a corner room somehow so maybe the reception didn't make it . But that was one week without being tied to the phone . I would have given them 5* if I had those . Would recommend this hotel. Collapse

We visited Barcelona from 7 to 12 November 2016 and stayed in Amrey Hotel.Firstly its location is ideal and so close to Sagrada Familla and Rambla square. The rooms are very cosy and tidy making you feel great hospitality. The only problem we faced was that you had to wait for 10 minutes in order to have hot water in your bathroom.Breakfast was quite good and delicious with an average quantity of foods though..The hype of Amrey was it's personal which was willing to help us giving as right directions on everthing we asked for.To conclude i would definately propose Amrey Sant Pau in my friends or everyone interested to visit Barcelona. I have just got back from staying at Amrey Sant Pau. When me and my boyfriend got to the hotel we were a bit worried as it seemed out of the way from the City Centre and cites, however, the Sagrada Familia is a 10 minute walk down the road, surrounded by lovely Spanish and Italian Restaurants and every thing you could possibly want in Barcelona is a short Metro link away. The Metro is cheap; 10 euros for 10 journeys. Perfect location for a hotel. We got there and the lady behind the counter offered us an Apartment which was located right next door to the hotel. At first we were a bit confused as to why we got this apartment which was more than half of what we have paid for our double room with en suite, but November can't be too busy for them and we were definitely not complaining. This room, kitchen, living room and bathroom were all perfectly clean, beautiful and comfortable. It was massive and we paid no extra. We didn't spend much time in there as we were off seeing Barcelona but it was lovely when we did. The only fault we had with this hotel was that we were bed and breakfast and the breakfast didn't have much variety, there was no sign of cooked breakfast and just things like fruit, pastries and cereal which is fine for a short stay but we tended to eat out for breakfast instead after the first day. Lovely staff, good English, attentive and friendly. If we were to go back to Barcelona, which I am sure we will we would definitely stay here again. Thank you Amrey Sant Pau for our lovely stay. Our reservation at the Amray Sant Pau Hotel was booked through Travel Republic Ref: ACM/12259961 on 16th April 2016 (five months in advance) and was for a room and breakfast for three nights from 4th to 7th October 2016 for my wife and myself. All went well until our arrival at the hotel reception where we were shocked to be told "SORRY BUT THERE ARE NO ROOMS AVAILABLE" we obviously showed our reservation documents but to no avail. When will there be a room ready for us? There are no rooms available! He said there was an apartment free would we like to see it? We were shown the apartment adjacent to the hotel and were told this was all they had. We had no option but to accept what we were shown. There was no direct access to the hotel from the apartment without going outside which we found inconvenient, also we were opposite a busy pedestrian crossing with picture windows for all to see, blinds were fitted but they came down from above the window so to get privacy we had to shut out daylight. In reflection the reception staff were very unhelpful and in closing the breakfast was self service and abysmal. Collapse
