The best location possible, 5 mins walk from Time Square, The Empire State Building and the shops on 5th Ave! Rooms are clean and the staff are very friendly! Subway near by which is $6 return to Ground zero and if you like walking it takes 30 mins to get to Central Park! It is just a room with a sink , wardrobe, draws and a comfy bed, shared bathroom but kept extremely clean and can be a bit noise when the fire engines scream past at night! If you want a clean place to lay your head at night with no frills but the location to die for stay here !! Collapse

Staied there 8 nights in a Double Room (2 people), paid 785€ (all taxes included) in Venere website, using a 15% discount coupon code. Tried 3 different rooms! Changed room because of the noise. Staied in a Twin Room in the corner, with 3 windows (408), a Twin room with only one window facing 38th street (404) and a double room on inside with one window (516) to some walls, you can see the photos bellow. They have about 20 rooms in each floor (I staied in 4th and 5h floor) and there were 5 shared bathrooms in those floors, so there is one bathroom for every 4 rooms. The rooms have a sink, TV and air-conditioner. Pros: - Location is amazing! You are near Bryant Park, 5th Avenue around the corner, Empire State Building, Times Square and other major attractions in a few minutes walking! I came from Newark Airport and the Bus (Newark Airport Express) left me in Bryant park (just 2 blocks from the Hotel!). You have Supermarkets, restaurants, and everything that you need in this area! - Rooms are not Huge, but they are ok in space and they have a small storeroom to put your luggage. They are cleaned everyday and they provide towels. You have a nice New York view to the street from the rooms facing the 38th street or 6th Avenue. - Cheap! You are in the middle of everything for only 100$ per night! It's difficult to get better for this price! - In each floor they have a "shared kitchen"! But don't expect a big kitchen, it's more like a cabin with a fridge and a microwave only! No dishes or other utilities. There's no space to sit, no tables or chairs. But this could be useful for some People. - They have bathrooms prepared for Handicap Persons. There were always bathrooms available when I needed them and they were clean. - You have to "buzz" the bell everytime you want to enter in the Hotel. And the elevator stops everytime in the Lobby area (2nd floor) for the receptionist see who's going up or down! Sometimes this "stop" is boring when you are in a rush! They have also cameras in the Hotel Door Entrance. - In the last day, they kept our luggage in the Hotel for free. Cons: - Noise! Noise! Noise! It's impossible to sleep well in this Hotel (at least for me)! The twin rooms in the corner have 3 windows that doesn't isolate any sound and there aren't any curtains in the room to block the sunlight in the morning! Even the other rooms with only one window facing 6th avenue or 38th street are noisy! The Trucks, Cars or Buses BEEP all night!!! And the windows don't have double glass, and to become worst, some of them have a "crack" space between the wall and the window, so everything can pass from outside to inside, from that space! The windows need renovation! Even, when I staied on the inside room, there was a loud sound from a motor working several times per night, lasting some seconds (didn't understand what kind of a motor this was! Elevator motor? Hot motor water from the bathrooms?). So, even when I was on an inside room, there was NOISE! I already slept in a Times Square Hotel and I slept perfectly without hearing anything, because they had a good soundproof windows and walls! Which is not the case in this Hotel! - There isn't any room with private bathroom. - No Free wi-fi! You need to pay 5$ for 24h Internet. This doesn't make any sense, when in some floors you have wi-fi signal from "Pret a Manger" (under the Hotel) and "Culture Espresso" cafe (in front of the Hotel), just go there and ask them the wi-fi password (for free). - After trying 3 different rooms, noticed that one of the beds in one of the rooms (408 - twin room) was very disconfortable! The mattress folded when I lay down. this could be an issue for people staying in this room. Didn't have any problem with other beds in other rooms (they were confortable). - There is always one guy in reception. They are 5 different guys. Some of them, were not really nice! Others were very helful and friendly. In conclusion: You will choose this Hotel for the Location and Price! Forget SoundProof and bring your Earplugs... :-/ If you like this review, please thanks. I only needed some where to stay for 1 night so this place severed it's purpose. Safe and sound for solo women travelers Collapse

Rooms were quite small but clean with shared bath. It's a great location but impossible to sleep well. There was no free Wi-Fi. There was a very small shared kitchen which had a fridge and microwave. There was no coffee making facilities either.

So this place is more of a hostel, not a hotel. The site I booked from did not advertise that it had shared bathrooms, and labeled it a "standard" room. That piece would not have ruined the stay in itself, but the bed was old and nasty, as were the sheets, and there was hair and dirt all over the room indicating it had not even been vacuumed in a while. I would not recommend this place. The only reason it got 2 stars instead of 1 is the proximity to popular places in NYC. Collapse
