Fantastic boutique hotel about 4-5 city blocks from Plaza Catalunya. Cenrally located with lots of nice restaurants nearby. The romantic package came with a free dinner for two, bottle of Cava, and express breakfast! Great deal. The service was amazing! Very attentive and friendly staff! Warning, the express breakfast only gets you bread/toast/pastry and jams. When you see eggs, meat, cheeses, and fruit on the same bar, you will want it! Spring for the full breakfast, it's great! Or you can upgrade on just a few days you want it. Collapse

We stayed here for a three night break to celebrate my birthday. The hotel is ideally situated for most of the main must see locations in Barcelona, access to the Barcelona Bus Turistic route is only three blocks away. The hotel staff are friendly helpful and very attentive. An express breakfast was included in our stay which was excellent with a good range of pastries, toasts etc. The rooms are large and modern with aircon and there is a small pool on the roof terrace which has views over the city. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel. Collapse

The hotel was exactly what my friend and I were looking for. Both of us were first time visitors to Barcelona and so we wanted somewhere to act as a base, while we explored the city. It was vital that we had a hotel that was central with good transport links, so that we could easily get to all of the different tourist highlights (La Sagrada Familia, Font Magic etc.) that were not necessarily near each other. The hotel was in short walking distance to both Diagonal and Provenca stations, which meant that this was the case and we never had any issues getting to and from places. The Hola Barcelona! card (which we got at a discounted price because it was bought in advance) allowed us to get great value for money as well on the transport network. The staff were exceptionally friendly and were always willing to help and give us advice. They also let us leave our suitcases with them on our last day after we checked out, which meant that we didn’t have to spend our last few hours in Barcelona lugging around our luggage. We booked our room directly with the hotel, which was cheaper than going through intermediary websites, and this meant that we got a free express breakfast included for every day of our stay as well as free soft drinks from the minibar (we also got some complimentary nespresso pods, but I’m not a fan of coffee). The process of booking was very easy, but it’s worth noting that when you checkout online the price reverts to Euros, which confused me and my friend because we had been looking at the prices originally in pounds (it seemed like it had jumped up in cost for no reason when this actually wasn’t the case and was just the impact of the exchange rate). I also requested a twin room rather than a double because we were two friends, rather than a couple, which the hotel accommodated with no issue. Before describing the room, it’s worth saying that the free breakfast exceeded both my expectations and my friend’s completely. Considering that it was free, we had expected it to maybe consist of some cereal and a cup of tea. However, you could have as many hot and cold drinks as you wanted (including nespresso coffee) and there was a range of foods available. You do have to upgrade if you want hot food, but the supply of croissants, pastries, cereals, muffins and toast meant that we never felt the need. There was even yoghurt and fruit if you still had room! You could also get window seats, which allowed you to watch the world go by. This was brilliant for the day when my friend preferred to lie-in over breakfast, as it kept me entertained. As said, the room consisted of two single beds (as requested) and these were very comfortable to sleep in – neither my friend or I had any issues with falling asleep. The room was especially clean and the ensuite was very modern and spacious. We always had hot water whatever time we showered and the towels were very fluffy! There was also an expansive mirror, with enough room for two people to use it simultaneously, which made up for their not being a mirror for the desk in the bedroom (there was however a full length one inside of the wardrobe attached to the door). The air conditioning and safe were also included in the price, which was great, as often hotels charge you extra for this. When we accidentally entered our password incorrectly into the safe too many times, the staff came to our assistance immediately and resolved the problem. There was not a balcony (which we knew) and there was nowhere except for the desk to sit, so I would say that if you expect to spend a lot of time in the room, you may wish to book one of their more luxurious rooms. However, because this was not the case for us, it wasn’t a hindrance. There was also not much space in terms of the wardrobe or many hangers – again, as we were only staying for six days, this was not too much of a problem, but it may be if you were staying for longer. We did not use the pool as we ended up being too busy, but when we went to sit on the roof terrace one afternoon, there were spare sunbeds. It was small, but it was an addition that not many other hotels in the centre of Barcelona had, especially without a sharp increase in price. Overall, I would fully recommend this hotel for anyone looking to explore the city and have a fantastic experience of Barcelona! Collapse
