Can't really say anything good about this hotel apart from it being very central. Just back yesterday with 8 lady friends. Although I wrote to them with the names in each room, they were all in my name when we arrived. Asked for the five rooms to be on the same floor as well, and this did not happen. First night my friend and I could not get to sleep for the talking and banging doors in the corridor then the guests next door came in around 2.30 am and switched their TV on which was wall mounted on the wall thru from our beds. They left it on all night and fell asleep with it on. It was still on in the morning !!! The shower went hot and cold every morning ! There was a shampoo, a shower wash and a bar of soap when we arrived, these were NOT replenished each day !!! The hair dryer needs you to keep your finger on the button otherwise it goes off. Oh and my goodness the towels....... you could shoot peas through them they were that thin. The maid, made the beds and that was it, there was nothing else tidied up. The restaurant was pretty busy each time and the first day we were told as there was nine of us a table would be reserved for us but that didn't happen, sometimes we had to eat at different tables. Plenty of different food to enjoy. But alas if I go back to Benidorm I will not stay here. Collapse

Just returned from the ambassador 2. We have stayed here several times but many years ago. The hotel has been refurbished in the reception and restaurant areas. Very modern. Food was great, good selections and drinks very reasonable in the restaurant. Check in was quick and efficient. We were allocated room on floor 10 on the back of the hotel. The room was quiet and no noise trouble. We are returning in three months time and can't wait Collapse

Went with my family to coincide our mothers 50th birthday and also st Patrick's day. From the start there was an issue with 1 member of the party being missed. We thought that was sorted rather quickly, pay for them and have it sorted. Which never happened, so they had to go to the hotel opposite. However, and this is the reason for the one star. Besides myself (27) and sister (29) the staff were overtly rude and hostile to the rest of our party. This actually led to an altercation with the evening desk clerk, who identified himself as William. Every night he demanded that the same (twin) girls hand over their room keys and provide id. If this didn't match their name he'd kick off. Despite at check in us being handed cards and told that we can sort out our own sleeping arrangements. There was also the head waiter who again spoke to the younger members of the party to behave, and proceeded to watch the party while eating for 2 nights straight! This ended only after being confronted by the older members of the party. I genuinely thought that perhaps they'd been loud. Until a hotel receptionist shouted at my pregnant wife to keep the noise down. Despite her just going with my sister up the stairs, next to the hotel bar blaring out loud music! The blatant age discrimination displayed is disgusting and if this was to have been directed at someone older, there would be all kinds of legal ramifications. You may wonder why the trip advisor review? Well that's because we were told by another member of their staff, that managers only care about reviews. So here's your 1*. It's a shame you treat people, paying customers, like rubbish as soon as you have their money. Collapse
