This is a wonderful hotel that is beautifully decorated both in the lobby and the rooms. There is a Gustav Klimt painting above your bed in every room which is a nice touch since you can go see his gallery at the nearby Belvedere museum. The breakfast buffet is fabulous! Something for everyone. The only thing they should improve on is their coffee which was not good even by American standards. They should serve Viennese coffee here which is so good. The rooms are a nice size and have a large bathroom with a huge bathtub which I loved. The only problem we had was we were put on the 7th floor facing the sun and the air conditioning could not keep up.We asked to be moved to another room and they graciously moved us to the 5th floor where it was nice and cool. It is conveniently located to a metro stop and walking distance to lots of attractions. Collapse
Very nice hotel - good location

Location right near shopping and eating areas in old town - easy walk over. Hotel is near busy street but there are interior rooms that are very quiet! Rooms nice but bedding is lumpy. Breakfast is extensive and good. No fresh omelettes though.

I spent three nights here in July 2017. Art Deco is not really my cup of tea to be fair but this hotel is well decorated and rather smart in appearance. The lobby is laid out nicely and looks appealing. Upon arrival, the staff member took his time to assist us and get to know us a little. I do not remember his name but he is an asset to the front desk team, he was diligent and offered good advice. He also provided a map which proved useful. The elevators are not the largest and can be cramped at times due to high traffic. This is obviously something that is not easily fixed but you as a potential guest should be aware of this point. We did not partake in breakfast, at 17 euros per person I thought there were much better options around. I did attempt to sit at the bar and order a drink however after ten minutes I tired of waiting so I left. There are very limited options for English television in the hotel restricted to News channels only. Our television was changed during the stay and we went from 4 channels down to 2 channels. This didn't fix the problem, it just elevated it. The wifi only worked intermittently and this was problematic. The bed was adequate and we slept well. There was an occasion of a child next door making noise but this only happened once and we were still awake. Be aware that this could be an issue if you have noisy neighbours. The bathroom is nice and there is a speaker in there so you can listen to the television while you are occupying it. This is actually quite handy. Rooms were cleaned to a high standard and were done within a reasonable time frame. I did not have to wait until 3 pm for my room to be cleaned which is a huge plus. There does not seem to be any shops open in the area after 8 pm. If you don't want to pay a substantial amount for room service including a 4 euro delivery charge I suggest you prepare in advance. There is a SPAR supermarket up near Macdonalds, interestingly they do not sell Sunscreen. The hotel is located in a good area, not too far from the city, close to the main train station with good access to the airport. There are several parks in the area that are nice places to visit. There was not much of a view from our room, a small glimpse poking out from behind a opposite building. Towards the end of our stay, there was a large influx of tourists who seemed to be in groups ie group travel. This did bog down the service of the hotel noticeably. There were also issues on a couple of occasions with accessing the premises due to large numbers of tourists and luggage. Because of this, late checkout was also unavailable, this was not a huge issue for us at the time but this is the reason why we were unable to check out later. On a positive, 12 pm checkout is quite reasonable. Management needs to be aware of this and address it by implementing systems to rectify ie schedule more staff on during these times etc. My ranking system. 5 stars: Impeccable. You should go out of your way to be here. 4 stars: Amazing. Extremely hard to fault, a visit here should not disappoint. 3 stars: Good/very good. A solid place worthy of your time and money. 2 stars: Improvement needed. Worthy of consideration if you are in the area and other options are limited. 1 star: Either avoid at all cost or I was (due to the fault of the venue) unable to experience. The Hotel am Konzerthaus has been our favorite destination for over 4 years. We come to Vienna frequently. The hotel is charming and elegant in décor, and is in a prime location for walking to near-by sites, parks, and public transportation. However, we have observed a change in their standards for quality during our last 2 visits. It seems that management is not effective in maintaining previous standards. When reporting a problem at the front desk (light bulb burned out in our room for 4 days, in-room coffee supplies not fresh, water did not drain properly in sink, ironing board & iron never delivered to our room), there was NO follow-up, even with repeated reminders. Communication between the front desk and the staff seems to be a problem. One flaw in the hotel design and management is the breakfast service area. It is too small to accommodate clients during peak periods, not well staffed, not cleaned promptly, staff (including the manager) showed up late at 6:30 opening - making it challenging for those who had to get to the airport and tried to eat a quick breakfast while the staff was putting out food. We sincerely hope that the management takes immediate steps to restore the reputation the Konzerthaus had in the past. We want to return again. On a positive note, the staff at the front desk was very helpful, friendly and professional. Collapse

We stayed as a family of 3 for 4 nights. This Hotel was good except for the daily breakfast chaos. The rooms are good size and clean, but need an upgrade. The hotel is located in a short walk from metro station and not far to most of the sights. Breakfast was the main thing that let our stay down. The restaurant is very small for the size of hotel and poorly managed. There is either nowhere to sit or not enough staff members to clean available tables for the new guests. Breakfast area, breakfast area staff and breakfast itself are a major problems in my eyes. Collapse
