We were there recently for a week. The apartment was very spacious with 2 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms; also quite large living room on ground floor and bedrooms upstairs. Despite having the heating on, the living room was pretty cold while upstairs was ok; having asked for a quiet apartment before arrival, we got one near the security booth and entrance to the complex garage, so not particularly quiet; additionally, there was some paving being done nearby from 9 am as well as gardening work... The apartment could do with some tlc and some thorough cleaning. Collapse

Good location and decent condo. Ours was a two bedroom two bathroom with patio off kitchen, bslciby off master and a roof top deck. Unit #22 was clean and quite modern in its decor—-looked like it had recently been updated. Adequate kitchen supplies. We were last t here in 2014 and we were quite surprised to now have to pay extra for parking and wifi—-an extra €12/day for both....a heads up would have been welcome. All in all a pleasant week. Read this before you choose. If you have kids. If you are disabled. If you are old. I have been around and stayed in many hotels worldwide. You can see my other reviews on TripAdvisor. I’ve never had an issue with a hotel until we went to Aloha Gardens. During last year Christmas break we visited Spain and we went to Marbella, we made reservation and arrived early for checkin. We put in the reservation that my son had a broken leg and we need special accommodation. The receptionist was very nice and gave us our room key. Now nowhere in the description do they tell you this is a stairs laberinth..!!! Before you get to your room you have no less than 50 stairs and then in the room you have circular staircase to bedrooms. It is ok if you fully able person, but with my son just operated and on crutches impossible to have a proper stay. We went back to receptionist and told her and she agreed they could not accommodate, we spoke with hotels.com to cancel and make another booking somewhere else, we did and moved to another hotel. Well the hotel never refunded the stay... they say we should know where we are going before booking. So if you have kids and you love them don’t stay here... if you are elderly and can’t walk DO NOT stay here...if you are disabled Do NOT stay here.... you will never be told this by their site BUT they expect to do your evaluation magically. So for other fellow travelers please be aware!!! This is a stairs laberinth. Two miles (this is far) away from the beach... There are many better places to stay in Marbella.. Zero customer service. Our third visit - booked this time through Nordica Rentals who are highly recommended for their service. The apartment was excellent- very clean and had everything you need for a relaxing get away from it all break. Superb terrace with really nice sun loungers and furniture generally. Spiral staircase access to terrace so not suitable for young children or anyone with mobility issues. Aloha Gardens itself a secure gated complex beautifully kept with 3 pools and stunning views from the east and west facing sides particularly of La Concha. Walking distance to two decent supermarkets, good Aloha mini Market, restaurants and bars and good ones on the doorstep, taxi rank right opposite the waterfall so easy access to all places if you don’t hire a car. Recommended. Collapse

I stayed at Aloha Gardens in house number 23 which is located straight up from reception and is the end/last house.I stayed for the month of September with my 27 month old and my partner who came and went from back home. The house itself on first impression seemed dated and I wasn't saying wow and running around. However over time I came to love it I guess I got use to it. It could be really impressive by having a re-paint, nicer sofa and curtains etc but as it's a holiday rental it wouldn't be worth it I suppose. The outside of he house needed re painting really and the walk up from reception all the way up to the house was a little depressing and needs to be released done. The rest of the gardens are very well kept, if you walk around the complex the rest of it (except this path from reception) is nice. There are 3 pools and kids play ground. A massive downside is that the walls are paper thin, and I mean paper thin. I could hear people using the toilet for both, vomiting, all conversations as if they were in my room! I wouldn't actually mind this if it had been a girls holiday but I took my 2 year old so it wasn't great. I had a leaking toilet one evening, I told reception the follingenitourinary morning and by the time I returned later that day it had been repaired, no complaints about reception from me. The restaurants are all nice and there's a taxi rank just outside. It takes approx 20 min walk to the port, I knew the area before as iv stayed in the area a few times just never at this complex. All in all, if I was going here for a giris holiday I'd consider this placentury, but I probably won't return as a family. Sorry :( Collapse
