Very strategically located in Liverpool, as soon as you enter the Old Building charm with modern interiors attract you a lot. The restaurant & bar is well equipped with awesome hanging lights which add to the value. Only 1 lift available to go up, which is an area of improvement. The hotel reception staffs are very very friendly, they are at service immediately upon a phone call. Room is well equipped, bathroom is awesome, so spacy. I stayed from 2nd Jan for 2 weeks and had a good time. Collapse

On Friday 30th December we got married at Aloft, Liverpool. We had the most amazing day and night in this beautiful building. Jay, the Talent Manager, helped with the coordination of our wedding day and he did us proud. He ensured our wedding day went as we had planned with the help of John and all the waiters and waitresses too. The staff on the day were so helpful and made sure all our guests were looked after. Everyone who attended our wedding commented on how beautiful the hotel was, how good the staff were, how lovely the food was and what a great time they had there. We would like to say a big THANK YOU to all of the staff. The wedding planning didn't all go well and we did have a few problems along the way with Aloft, we were worried about how the day would go. We had issues with regards to having a consistent wedding coordinator, this was eventually sorted after a meeting with management and we were told Jay would now be coordinating it. This in turn turned out to be to our advantage as we got on really well with him and he tried his best to accomodate all our requests. I do agree with an earlier reviewer on here, over the random christmas tree being placed in the James Doyle room. It wasn't ideal for walking down the aisle but it didn't ruin our day as we only had 60 guests so we probably had more space. Hopefully management will read these reviews and decide to place the christmas tree elsewhere next year for future weddings. Oh and make sure you park in the right car park. When we booked our wedding we were told it was the NCP car park they used. We then shared this with our guests who were staying for the wedding only to find out on check out that they now use the Q park instead. John, deputy manager, said he would arrange for finance to pay the difference as it was a fault on their behalf. We were pleased that this was rectified promptly. Putting those few problems aside we have to say we had the most amazing wedding day. We felt the staff did all they could to ensure that our day went as we had planned. Every member of staff we dealt with on the day was polite and helpful, from John to Jess on reception to the bar staff on the upstairs bar to the waiting on staff serving the food. A special thank you though has to go to Jay who made it all eventually come together and go to plan. With regards to food everyone of our guests commented on how good the food was and how well presented it was. In the evening we opted for the New York street menu which was burgers, hot dogs, steak sandwiches, mac n cheese and fries and once again everyone said how lovely it was. Our overall view of Aloft is very good and we have already been back to have a drink in the bar area. We hope to enjoy many more meals and drinks at Aloft in the future. Collapse

After a few problems to do with many changes to the WEDDING EVENT team, I can only say a big THANK YOU to Jay who finally took charge and really did an excellent job for the Wedding at end of December 2016. I cannot fault anything. From staying in the hotel the night before to the last minutes of the Wedding night itself it was wonderful. Jay was on hand every step of the way. He was the calming influence amongst the chaos of the Bridal party. The Wedding ceremony was very special in such a lovely room. The room was arranged as requested by the Bride and Groom for the guests. Jay calming my daughter and her dad as they waited to make their entrance. After the ceremony the change over to the Mezzanine level went very smoothly and we enjoyed a welcoming drink and chatted. We stayed here for a while and then went for group photos. We then went back to the James Doyle suite for the Wedding meal. The room was decorated really lovely with just the glow of the large candelabras on the tables making it very magical. The meal was excellent and Jay made all the announcements required in a professional manner. After the meal we went back down to the mezzanine level for about an hour and a half just relaxing and having a drink.. Those staying in the hotel went to their rooms to freshen up. Then we were back upstairs for the evening party and that was very good.. The DJ was great and played all the music choices of the Bride and Groom. Everyone was up dancing having a really good time. The night flew by so quickly, we were sorry to see it end! We received lots of texts and phone calls to say how the guests had enjoyed the party and remarked on the lovely James Doyle Suite and the bar areas of the hotel which were very modern. They all thought the Christmas theme was really nice. Finally I would like to thank Jay and his staff for making our daughter and son-in-laws wedding day so memorable. Well done! Collapse

This is a great hotel with a very friendly staff. The room and facilities were excellent and it was very central to the city. The breakfast bar and buffet was great with fresh cooked items or buffet, whichever you wanted. Perhaps the only downside was the lack of atmosphere in the restaurant in the evenings,but there is an excellent tapas bar in the restaurant next door. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to other travelers. Collapse
