I stayed at the Aloft hotel for one night as I was transitioning to another hotel. The Aloft is centrally located and has shopping and dining options everywhere. It's about a 10 minute walk to the Nana BTS station. If you would prefer not to walk, they offer free tuk tuk service to the BTS station as well as to Terminal 21 Shopping Mall. The room was quite large and the layout maximized the use of the entire room. The room included many of the needed items like slippers, lock box, hair dryer, mini fridge, couch, work table, etc. There was also a good size shower. The bed was large and comfortable. I did not have an opportunity to check out other parts of the hotel, like the pool, bar, restaurant or gym. If you're planning on driving there, parking is very limited so I would recommend finding another way of getting there, if possible. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. If you're looking for a reasonably priced hotel that offers all the amenities that a more expensive hotel would have, I would recommend checking out Aloft. I know that I will again. Collapse
Cuts corners on food safety and helps cabs scam you for money

Originally I thought this hotel was fantastic when I first arrived- everyone was friendly and courteous and treated me and my friends very well. The rooms are well maintained, the pool has a gorgeous view, and the hotel seemed clean and well maintained. However, I can't recommend this place at all to my fellow travelers for two reasons: 1. They cut corners when it comes to food preparation and safety. My friend and I both ordered the fried rice for room service and when it arrived it was was covered with saran wrap- at first we thought that was unusual as that's usually how you store food in the fridge at home, and we were sure that since we were paying so much for it (relative to the prices of the surrounding restaurants) that it had been freshly made and maybe they put the saran wrap on to keep it warm. We were dead wrong. Both my friend and I, within 24 hours of eating that room service fried rice, had terrible GI upset and diarrhea that lasted 2 full days. Running into other guests in the building and talking to them about it (at the time we weren't sure it was the fried rice that made us sick), we found out that other guests that also ordered the fried rice had also experienced the same symptoms. Further questioning with some staff revealed that the fried rice was made in bulk and stored in the refrigerator for weeks at a time and lightly microwaved when ordered- and that it was a constant source of complaints to the management. When I brought this up to the management during checkout and demanded a refund just for the fried rice (I felt insulted that I had paid to get diarrhea) they pretended to be too busy/kept forgetting to issue a refund until my cab came and I had to rush off to the airport. Very deceptive. 2. Speaking of cabs, don't trust the doormen or the bell men to grab a cab for you. They have a prior agreement with the local cabs to overcharge you for cab rides. The cabs all turn off their meters and accept cash, usually around 300 bhat. To an American, 300 bhat (~$8) is a cheap cab ride so we didn't really argue with the cab drivers when they were called for us. It turns out that 300 bhat can take you from one end of the city to the other, and if you turn on the meter a cab ride will only cost you around 100-150 bhat (or less). So if you want to get a cab, use Uber or hail one yourself and demand either the meter be turned on or barter with a pre-determined price instead. The only reason I give this establishment 2 stars instead of 1 is because the rest of the staff (not the management) were so welcome, friendly, and inviting that they alone deserve the second star. The bartender at the pool especially was amazing and was always on point and ready to assist us/talk to us/give us recommendations whenever we needed it. He also poured us some amazing specialty drinks later on in the evening. In sum: I can't recommend this place because they cut corners on food safety (especially their room service) and they have a deal with the local cab drivers to overcharge you for cab rides. If you do end up staying here, however, the staff are amazingly friendly and all the amenities are as advertised. Collapse

Stayed for 3 nights..no problem at all. Bang in the middle of Sukhumvit. Everything is a stone's throw away...NANA BTS is a short walk of 3 mins.Restaurants and pubs are everywhere..no cuisine is too far away! Checkin and Checkout are both extremely efficient which is a big deal considering that this is a fairly busy hotel. Rooms are modern and nice. Room service is fast and efficient. I could have given it a 5 star but for the fact that is not really wow ! I did not see an in room dining option which can be a bother for some wanting to put their feet up after a long day of shopping. Room maintenance is good. Housekeeping does not seem to have a checklist as they sometimes miss replenishing water/ laundry bags etc. That said the hotel ticks most of the wants of a traveller and i would definitely visit again.
