I stayed here by myself from 17-24 May.I knew it was being renovated as I visited Benidorm In January and the hotel was a shell. This time the hotel was renovated and only the right hand side needed attention but this did not affect my stay in any way as there was no noise. The reception was friendly, along with maids and dining room staff. I was one of the few English in this hotel as it was predominantly Spanish which is what I wanted in order to study my Spanish. The food was good to say it was only a 2 star. The new renovated room was perfect with a new step in shower, flat screen tv, air conditioning but don't expect many English channels . I would definitely stay here again. Collapse

Myself my wife and her sister arrived at the hotel and it looked okay, reception said we could have one room but the other wasn't ready. The room 412 which we had been given should not be used until the refurbishment has finished. Scaffolding outside your bedroom window with pallets being craned up to workmen was the last thing we expected, I have photo's to prove this is true. We were given another room a couple of days later after complaining about this. We asked if we could have 2 rooms on the same floor, we got one on the 2nd and 1 on the 4th, how difficult is this to plan 5 months before you get there? Apart from this the hotel was very nice and the staff were very good at all times. It's quite small with a nice seating area outside the front on a busy street, it's set in the busy old town area not far from the beach and the Balcon del Mediterraneo. We did have a really good time, just a shame about the problems we had. It's still being refurbished but looking okay and will no doubt when completed be a great place to stay, we thought the food was nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Be aware that when you arrive you will have quite a walk to the hotel from your transfer drop off point. For those of you that know Benidorm we were dropped at the Hotel Azul which is a bit of a walk for those who may have walking difficulties. If they would guarantee a room with a balcony, even though they are very small, I would certainly stay here again. I've given this hotel an average score of 3, it would easily have been given 4 or 5 if not for simple errors made by the hotel management. Collapse

We booked this hotel knowing it was being refurbished and was reopening just before we arrived. Our initial thoughts were of disappointment as we were put in a corner room with no balcony, and the patio doors opened onto an inner "shaft". The room looked smart, but there wasn't enough storage space for clothes - plenty of hanging space but only 2 small drawers under the mini fridge (which was locked). The bedside tables and bigger table in the centre of the room only had shelves and would have been much better with a drawer. The power shower was great, but you had to make sure that the shower pointed away from the shower door otherwise the floor was flooded. However, after nit picking all of that in the end we had a comfortable stay, the bed was very comfortable and was a double (which you don't get in many apartments or hotels), the curtains were blackout so we slept well and there was minimal noise. The bed was made every day and we had clean towels every single day. The staff were friendly and it was in a great location. For the price we paid, we thought it was very good value for money and overall a good choice for us. As with a lot of hotels it would be good to be able to pick a room that had a balcony overlooking the street even if it was a bit more rather than have to take pot luck (something I believe is supposed to be happening based on a response to another review). We would stay there again. Collapse

stayed for 4 nights was in good location. I knew they had a refurbishment going on but was lead to believe it finished on the 7th April and would be done for the 9th when we arrived how wrong this was on one day the drilling was deafening we had to stay out all day to keep away from the noise and dust everywhere if anything landed on the floor it was covered in white dust. We had a late pick up so asked to keep the room which they charged 20 euro I think that should have been free due to the state of the place and what we had to put up with Breakfast was ok. Please note not all rooms have a balcony and not all booking agents advise you of this which I also told the hotel they need to address. Because of my experience at this hotel I wouldn't stay again we had no apology for the disturbance from anybody which I thought was a bit rude considering what we had to put up with. Collapse

This is quite a find, two minutes and your right in the middle of the old town with the churches, squares, cafes and tapas restaurants. It's full and bustling, full of life, with locals and tourists alike milling about. The shops are a dream and quite unique. Three minutes and your on the front, the beach is lovely and clean. The hotel completely surprised us, we only popped in to meet friends staying there, but had a little look around, the food looked delicious (breakfast time) the room was excellent, clean and very modern with a balcony overlooking the street below. We were so impressed that we booked as soon as we arrived home, and now are all set for a fab week in May, we can't wait. Collapse
