Easy check in straight to our room. Our bedroom spacious enough for 2 open plan wardrobes? not sure if 4 shared where everything would go. Big ceiling fan over the beds with 3 settings very good and powerfull worked well. Small fan in the living room not bad but didn't spend much time in the room. Maid service 7 days a week our maid didn't work Wed/Thur so we had to make do with used towels? not sure about the rest of the apartments what they did. Kitchen area as expected toaster, kettle, microwave, fridge and 2 hobs all utensils no probs there. TV basic english channels ITV,BBC again didn't bother to much about that Safety deposit box in reception area not good idea it meant you had to keep going down stairs to get things we never bothered would prefer safe in room. Wifi you had to pay for 5 euro a day upto 35 euro for over a weeks use no thanks. Restaurant never used it you can get it cheaper in the bars and resturants 2 mins away. The Pool area We stayed from the 2nd-12th September which meant we caught the last 2 days of the school holidays, only reason i say that if you want a nice relaxed stay avoid the school holidays, we had the Sunday and Monday and it was very noisey, pool was basically unsupervised. by which i mean 6ft inflateable lobsters/boats and kids jumping in the pool. People would que from 8.30am so they could pick their spot same people same spot, get a life please they even put their towels on the floor to mark where the beds would go. But in fairness come the Tuesday it seemed different place pool area a lot quieter obviously? actually saw people swimmimng, still people queing for the so called my spot but more room around the pool. Top tip 5th floor there is about 20 sunloungers up there nice little alcoves and it feels more private. shower in one corner to keep you cool if you need it. Overall the Apartments are nice we would use them again but out of school time, my kids have grown up so i can pick my dates, yes i have been there reguards the inflatables and all the pool activities so trying to give a fair opinion. Having been used to staying in Parque Satiago we were somewhat disappointed when we arrived at the Aguamar. Check in was quick and easy and the reception staff were friendly and the area was clean. The apartment was small compared to what we are used to and I found there to be a lack of storage space for clothing for 4 people. The pool was overcrowded and you couldn’t move for floats and balls and people diving in – an area to avoid unless you use at 9am when it is quiet. There are people queuing from 830 (maybe before) to get to the sunbeds when they open up at 9am and by 9.10am all of the sunbeds are taken up but there are only a handful of people around the pool even though the hotel says it has a ‘no reserving sunbed policy’. We did not spend one day at the hotel pool however on our last day we did decide to have a swim in the morning so put 2 towels on beds (even though we were a party of 4 we didn’t want to take up 4 beds) and nipped for breakfast which everyone else seems to do. We had to then make an emergency trip to the medical centre for our son so we probably got back to the sunbed at 11am and the “lifeguard” had taken one of our beds and placed the towels on the other bed so now we were left with 1 bed for 4 of us. He didn’t remove anyone elses in the mornings when they went off and left them all day so it was typical the one day we decided to reserve we got our stuff removed! The balcony was far too small…we had a room for 4 people and the balcony only had 2 plastic chairs and a table…you couldn’t fit anything else on it. A huge issue for us was that the rooms do not have a safe. You have to come down to reception to a room and put your stuff in there – this was inconvenient for us seeing as we were on the 3rd floor at the other end of the hotel and would have meant that everytime we wanted to sort some money or get some jewellry/phones we would have to go down to reception and then bring the money wallet up to the room to sort out what we needed and then bring it back down etc. I think all hotels should come with a safe in the room as standard. We took our chances and put stuff in a locked back inside a locked case on the top of the wardrobe and had no issues – maids were good so we had no issues and tipped her at the end of our stay. There isnt much to do around the hotel and we got a taxi into Las Americas almost every night – a tip for this area though would be Charlotte Cocktail Bar on the seafront – excellent food and service. In general there were some issues but only relating to size of the apartment and the pool and we hired a car so we coud get out for days. We would stay here again for the price and if we had a car as the place was very clean. I think we have just been spoiled with Parque Santiago so will compare everywhere to there. Collapse

apartments very clean with great facilities, towels and sheets changed twice a week, staff excellent and friendly and helpful. The only downside was the pool area while very clean its to small for the amount of apts in the complex,we qued for sunbeds from 8.30 every morning , while we did'nt mind this we could'nt believe the bickering and rowing over sunbeds and towels, also one morning when we qued and got our sunbeds we went up too our apt for breakfast and when we returned the lifrguard had removed to of our towels..we asked why and we were told your not supposed to leave the sunbeds idle.. never seen this before surely he's job is to watch the pool not the sunbeds..No night time entertainment.. We stayed here with our 2 children (14 and11)in August. The hotel is kept spotless, the hotel is constantly being cleaned and the pool area is cleaned every morning. Our room was also cleaned every day, beds changed and clean towels apart from Wed/Thursday. We stayed half board and found the food to be okay, good quality especially the breakfast which was excellent. Only down side to this Hotel is the pool area which is far to small for the amount of guests. The sunbed wars start early with people waiting in the reception area from around 8.30. The pool opens at 9 so if you want a sun bed in a good location be up early and prepair for battle. This is a real shame as we found this Hotel to be one of the best we have stayed in. The staff are very good, always polite and willing to help, the rooms are well equipped even with uk TV and the beds were great, no air con though. I would definately recommend this Hotel. Great value for money just the sunbed thing that lets it down. Collapse
