Used this hotel for 3 nights. Located out of the centre but an easy 20 min walk into main area (near Cathedral). We requested a quiet located room before we arrived and we were lucky that’s what we got. Hotel immaculately clean and rooms have everything you need (apart from kettle but think you can ask for one). Lots to choose from at breakfast. We liked the roof terrace area which was lovely to have a peaceful picnic lunch in the sunshine. Collapse
Great hotel for a great price!

The bedroom was really spacious with a very large bathroom. We especially enjoyed sitting in the courtyard with drinks under an orange tree! The staff were very friendly and the breakfast buffet was incredible.

We stayed over New Year for 6 nights. We found the hotel to be quite charming, the room a little small, but lets face it, it's just a base for seeing the city. Positioned up in the Macarena district, it is only a 20 minute walk into the city through lovely little streets. Lots of cafes, restaurants, shops to look at on the way! Very near a bus stop for the tourist bus which we did on day 1 to get our bearings, Breakfast is ok and has lots of choice - the only down side was the state of the scrambled eggs which they seem to cook to rubber!! Nofried option, but there was plenty of other food. If you're looking for a full english this is not the hotel for you! The courtyard is delightful, and we sat outside with a glass of sangria most evenings. We even visited the roof top swimming pool while we were there, as the weather was lovely. The best part of the hotel was reception, and I have to give a special mention to Jose who was the most helpful person we've met. He helped us with checking timetables, booking tickets, and gave us all information we needed for our visit. The other people were excellent too, but it was always Jose who helped us! The bar is just a little one at the side of reception, but the bar staff are excellent and helped us with our Spanish whilst serving us emormous (by our standards) gins! All in all a super hotel in a good location so long as you don't mind a little walking. Collapse

Staff were efficient and friendly and spoke very good English. Breakfast was good enough for us to start the day. We had the Christmas eve dinner which was delicious and were attended most professionally by their excellent waiters. The Hotel is on the outskirts of Seville which is no problem as the walk into the centre is easy and interesting Seville is very flat . Collapse

November is a cold dark and miserable month in England so we like to boost our melatonin levels before the winter solistice. Our favourite destination for this time of the year is the Canary islands. This year we decided to change our routine and visit Andulusia, having only a week away from work. Our first stop was Seville an interesting place to explore and I chose hotel San Gill based on reccomendations on Expedia and Trip Advisor. Hotel San Gil is situated near one end of historic Seville on a quiet narrow street and we managed to walk to most of the sites of interest. The lobby and bar area are quite small in comparison to most four star hotels. Front desk staff are very friendly and helpful, lobby opens in to a courtyard with seating, a small fountain, two small olive trees and a tall connifer tree that is home to at least a few hundred noisy but charming sparrows. We were given rom 308, that had its only light and air source, a large French window facing the courtyard, but the down side was the fact that guests occupying the rest of the floor had to go past our only door and window to get to their rooms. We could have light and air or privacy but not at the same time because if we opened the blinds everybody could see us lying on our bed. The room itself was not too small by European standards, bed very comfortable, but we found a faint but quite unpleasent urine/amonia smell as soon as we switched on the ventilation/heating system. Bathroom was spacious and clean. There is parking available at € 18/- per night we found the breakfast offered at €10/- per guest far too expensive in comparison to what is available within five minutes of walking, had one meal at the restaurent, average fare at average cost, on the whole not an experince to remember.
