Originally booked for 2 nights but decided to stay an extra night. The staff really did make our stay enjoyable and easy. Knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and approachable. Thank you to all the staff. Our room was lovely, comfortable, well set out and clean. The hotel location was perfect - on Nyhavn, walking distance to many sites of interest, lots of restaurants close by or the Street Food building across the canal. Breakfast was well balanced in the choices available and very nice - a good range of coffees / teas / juices / power shots, rolls, breads, pancakes, cold meats, yogurts, cereals, fruits, scrambled eggs, bacon. There are 4 parking slots available at the hotel it's self or easy-to-use well lit parking underground approx 100 metres down the road the hotel is on. You can park outside the hotel to counter check in and leave your luggage, collect a parking slips for days you need parking for and park for at the hotel. Then park your car. Takes the mystery out of figuring it out for yourself. I know there are still some building works being undertaken but was in no way inconvenienced by this. Just a smile and nod from workmen going past. 10/10 Collapse

Had one night here on a quick visit to Copenhagen and we were delighted with the Hotel. It was warm, comfortable, clean and welcoming, and the location makes it a perfect place to explore from. Within walking distance of most of the city's most famous sights and surrounded by nice places for a meal or a drink. Our room was on the top floor and although a little small in size, it had everything we could have possibly needed. Recently refurbed the room was nicely decorated and very quiet. Great bathroom too. All in all I would highly recommend a visit to anyone. Collapse

New Haven 71 is an excellent Hotel in the heart of Copenhagen it is close to several tourist sites including The Little Mermaid. My trip was a business trip which included many visits to the Bella Center this was easy because the hotel is 7 minutes walk from Kongens Nytorv or Metro. The hotel is in an area that is easy to access the whole city by the metro. The hotel is located at the end of Nyhavn quayside. One end of the hotel looks out over the sea on the bridge on the ferry. The hotel is a renovated Warehouse which has been converted into a hotel. The rooms of reasonable size for Copenhagen with big wooden beams supported to buy supported by iron plates in each room providing a unique hotel room feel. Each room has a practical bathroom with a proper bath and shower. My opinion is that my room was very clean and was very organized and clean throughout my stay . The room has a TV with European channels including CNN French 24. The room has a mini-bar with Spirits wine and soft drinks chocolate bars and crisps. The prices are quite High but this is as expected for Scandinavia. However, if your budget was not suited to the minibar then that is convenience store around the corner which supplies snacks and drinks at prices several times more reasonable than the hotel with a very friendly shop keeper to boot. ( prices for the mini bar stuck at 25 Danish kroner for chocolate and snacks 40 Danish kroner for a beer 70 Danish kroner for a 5 to Litres Spirits bottle and 155 Danish kroner for a 70cl bottle of Australian red wine. In my opinion if you're going to stay in your room better by far to go to the convenience store. The bed is fairly comfortable however the pillows consist of a fairly uncomfortable square cushions and single duvets. I brought my own pillow as I normally do when traveling. The room has good curtains which block out the light but as you're next to the Sea there isn't very much street light anyway. It may be useful to note that rooms ending 21 have a view over the bridge and Ferry other rooms ending in an odd number have a key side view , whereas rooms with an even number have a fairly poor view over pipes in a passage, these rooms also seem to have an alarm to window which may be problematic if the room is too warm as my colleague reported was the case in October. Rooms ending 30 + 31 all right next to the elevator so if you're a light sleeper then it may be advisable to avoid if possible. In general the room is clean very well and for my part the staff was very trustworthy. All staff we're extremely friendly and helpful and I was very impressed with the level of service. At present the restaurant is under renovation but the staff advised us that if you did want food that they could Supply it. Breakfast is served in a light and airy foyer, breakfast consist of a continental breakfast of cooked meats, Danish pastries ,coffee ,tea and cheeses, cereals and was enjoyable. I stayed in this hotel for six consecutive nights and have a comfortable and pleasant time and would recommend this hotel for business trips cup pulls and Families especially if they want to visit the sights and sounds of Copenhagen while in an area close to a large selection of quality but reasonable restaurants. There is a large Lego ship about 15 minutes walk from the hotel and lots of shops as well. It may be pertinent to note though that some undesirable establishments are also interspersed among the usual shops and restaurants (although only a couple in this area), but as I understand this is not uncommon in Copenhagen but useful to know especially if you have children and /or wish to avoid such places wholesale. Overall I would recommend this hotel to stay in and if I was to return with my wife and family I would stay here due to the hotel's proximity to a Charming tourist area good restaurants and excellent Metro Station. I can also recommend this hotel on the basis of its excellent staff fantastic breakfast and comfortable rooms. I would definitely stay here again although I'm not sure about the price of the rooms which I would check with a comparison website as my stay was with business interest and my stay was during a large convention Underwood's jewelry in a large convention week which booked up all hotels in Copenhagen meaning that the price of this hotel room was over 360 pounds a night which I would not pay for if staying with my own family using my own money. Simply put, stay here. - The staff was excellent, extremely helpful - The room was great. Converted building with charm - The bed was best of the trip - The Nyhavn area (pronounced "New-houn") is the place to be in Copenhagen - The facility is currently under restoration but that didn't affect the stay at all - No negatives (and one can usually find a negative, but not here) Collapse
