About Dirty Dancing - Manchester

Dirty Dancing, Manchester is the must see show for lovers of the hit 1987 blockbuster film. It’s the summer of 1963 and Frances ‘Baby’ Houseman is on holiday in New York’s Catskill Mountains with her family. Having shown little interest in the resorts activities she is delighted when she discovers an all night party in the staff quarters. Mesmerised by the raunchy dance moves and the rhythms ‘Baby’ can’t wait to be part of the scene especially when she catches sight of Johnny Castle the resort dance instructor.

This is the beginning of an exciting relationship, where the two very different worlds of ‘Baby’ and Johnny collide. Johnny spends time teaching ‘Baby’ all his moves and everything he knows about the beauty of dancing and their relationship begins to blossom both on and off the dance floor. But, as the end of summer and the final show draws near, will ‘Baby’s’ stern farther let her dance with the man of her dreams?
