Enjoyable Stay At Leith

out of 5The malmaison at leith was very dark, the bed was hard and the floorboards creaked so we heard every noise the people in the room above us made. We looked onto the side of the hotel, over a cobbled road and every night or should i say every early morning around 2-3am the bin men emptied the recycling and the lorries made deliveries....Not a good nights sleep. On a more positive note, breakfast was good and the staff very very friendly. We dined out an we had the best italian meal ever at guillianos just a 2 min walk from malmaison.

out of 5Leith malmaison is in a great location for restaurants and a quick bus ride to the centre attractions. The castle visit was excellent as was the royal yacht and the new edinburgh free tour.

out of 5Very busy train, 9.45am friday from peterborough, seemed the whole station was getting on it, advise you always book seats long in advance. Arrived in Edinburgh on time, taxi's plentiful. Went to pick up an outfit for wedding then to hotel, delightful and not the boring norm of a big chain. Check in was quick and easy, room was well above our expectations with all the little extras to make the stay more comfortable. Breakfast was probably the best I've had (and i've had a few) the many bars around the hotel are all excellent for food and drink. We visited Leith in Edinburgh for a wedding and are most certain to return for another visit.
