Relaxing Stay
A customer who stayed at 3* Stonefield Castle Hotel (2 Night Offer & 1st Night Dinner) in Tarbert wrote this review.
Stay Date: 30/10/11
Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5The short break was to unwind for 2 days. The hotel grounds were lovely to walk around and just chill out, good relaxing few days would go back. The only down side no transport into town. One taxi which had the night off, and nothing on from the hotel, so if you would like a drink the only option is to walk into town (2 miles!) or stay in the hotel bar.

out of 5Oban In The Autumn
A customer from UK who stayed at 2* Caledonian Hotel in Ullapool wrote this review.
Stay Date: 23/10/11
Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5Having travelled from fife up to inverness and then on to ullapool, we were glad to get a good cup of tea in our hotel room. We took a look at the evening meal menu and decided to stay at the hotel. Meals were excellent. There was even proper scottish musical entertainment provided by an excellent harmonium player which was a real treat. If more people visited the caledonian hotel, the owners would be able to spend a little bit of money making a few decor improvements as it was a bit tired, but for us, the weekend was a huge success. Thanks to all.
Lovely Location But Hotel Careless Administration
A customer from UK who stayed at 3* Argyll Hotel in Inveraray wrote this review.
Stay Date: 26/10/11
Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5Inverary is a lovely location and the hotel was adequate (though in need of some tlc). It let itself down by only having one room organised (when we had booked 2) and by only having us down for 3 nights when we had booked 4. This resulted in the suggestion that we had not settled our bill when we went out the day before we were due to leave. The room walls are very thin so our sleep was disturbed by snoring from the adjacent room. The restaurant and breakfast were, however, excellent.
Editor Notes:
Editor's Comments: We work hard to ensure our booking procedures are very comprehensive and we are working with the hotel to ensure that their reservation procedures are reviewed.
A Very Pleasant Break
A customer from UK who stayed at 3* Royal Hotel in Thurso wrote this review.
Stay Date: 29/10/11
Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5We had not been to Scotland before and noticed this very reasonably priced break. It was a very long way for us and we arrived quite late in the evening. The first thing we noticed was a very friendly welcome from the receptionist followed by a nice, comfy looking room. It contained all we needed for a short stay. Thurso is a very nice little place, not too much to do there and we found it rather expensive but it is understandable when everywhere is so spread apart. We would recommend this hotel and location to anyone who fancies a quiet time in a beautiful place. Just one fault, a rather creaky bed with hard pillows, maybe just pack your own pillows before you go.
