This romantic 17th century coaching inn, in the Nottinghamshire village of Barnby Moor, rose to fame and fortune in the days of stagecoaches and highwaymen. Today Ye Olde Bell Hotel and Restaurant offers the finest traditions of a fully refurbished country house hotel in extensive grounds combined with modern comforts and facilities. The St Leger Bar and Bistro is at the heart of the hotel and offers guests an informal alternative to the elegant oak panelled 1650 Restaurant. Conveniently located for the A1, M1 & M18 with Doncaster, Leeds, Sheffield and Nottingham all within an hours drive and just 11 miles from Robin Hood Airport and only a 10 minute drive from Retford Mainline Station. "Great Hotel with plenty of "Old World Charm" only downside being noise reaching the room (possibly due to renovation work). Retford was a very pleasant town to visit and do Christmas shopping."
