out of 5The Metro was on strike, so we walked everywhere. It was a wonderful way to see Paris, just strolling around, sitting having a coffee and watching the world go by. For a romantic evening, try a dinner cruise on the Bateaux Parisennes, with premier option. Very attentive service, without being over the top.

out of 5The Paris metro must be one the best travel systems going. In a very short time we travelled the length and breadth of Paris with no hold ups or delays and trains every few minutes. We did notice that there were far fewer buskers on the trains than in previous years. Retromobil 2007. This is an annual pilgrimage for us.The 1939 Auto Reunion Type D V12 was a joy. Nick Mason of Pink Floyd's extensive collection was on show .The only downside was that there were no catalogues left fot the classic car auction to add to my memorabilia collection Musee du cinema This attraction has moved to the fiancial district of Bercy. The Metro however means it is easy to get to. We tried to go last year and on arrival discovered it was closed on a Tuesday.Armed with this knowledge we arrived at 10.30 on the Wednesday to discover it opens at 12. Thank goodness for the Metro and we went of to the Dali exhibition. We did return (3rd time lucky) and were very impressed .A journey back in time and only 4euros each.
