out of 5A friend and I were visiting Glasgow for shopping and a gig at the Barrowlands ballroom. Despite not being close to the Barrowlands, we chose to stay in the City Inn as we love these hotels! As can be expected with the hotel chain, hotel was clean and comfortable (with the added bonus of the imac in the room!), we also had a really nice view over the river. Staff were really friendly and helpful, especially as we'd never been to Glasgow before and they directed us to the shopping areas! The City Inn is a bit of a trek from the city centre, however taxis were only around a fiver to shopping areas and also to the Barrowlands at night. Really enjoyed our stay!.
The City Inn Hotel And Secc

Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5The hotel is within easy walking distance from the station either along the embankment or main road. The secc is 200 metres away and the tour sightseeing bus stops outside the hotel. The hotel rooms were tastefully decorated and contained everything you would need and the breakfasts were excellent. There was also access to a fitness suite and swimming pool (nearby). In the summer the hotel has a lovely outdoor eating area by the river. Glasgow's attractions are all within walking distance and the Kelvingrove museum is a must. We have visited Glasgow twice in 3 months and found plenty to do and see, most of which was free entry.

out of 5We had a fantastic break and stayed at the superb City Inn hotel. We enjoyed fantastic meals there and as it was coming up to christmas, the atmosphere was extra special. Staff so helpful and couldn't do enough to make our time spent in Glasgow a memorable one. We enjoyed a fantastic pop concert at the SECC whilst there. We wouldn't hesitate booking a similar package in the future, thank you.
