out of 5Booked a last minute night away with my family, hotel was very good and staff very helpful and keen to please. The only issue was the heating came on in the middle of the night and the room was very warm.

out of 5We stayed in the highland hotel and on the outside and the corridors it looks a bit like a hostel, but the rooms were very nicely furnished extremely comfortable. We couldn't fault the hotel though and would recommend it. We ate at ord ban in the the rothimurchus centre and the service and food were unquestionably first class.

out of 5The academy hotel was as I expected, a reasonable standard of hotel with no great frills with plenty of facilities spread over the site for families. The academy ground floor rooms need signposting better as I couldn't find find them initially. The foyer looks a little tired. The heating was inefficient and we had to request additional room heaters to keep it warm enough for our baby - it was to be fair a very cold weekend - generally hotels are too hot. I received a good offer for two rooms, full board from Superbreak after being shocked at the rate the hotel itself wanted to charge for just b&b. I would not have paid it and if I had I would have been complaining - expecting more for my money. I spend a number of days per year reviewing resorts for work and this, at full price, was not worth the price. On that weekend the resort was more than half empty.
