out of 5The County Hotel is ideally situated as it is on the main street, if you wish to stay in Carlisle you have everything right outside. there are great places to eat, bars, cinema's and great walks. If you go by car, there are lots of places to visit, within a couple of hours drive. visit the tourist information where you can pick-up loads of leaflets on places of interest.

out of 5As the accommodation inside Lake District was fully booked we decided to stay in Carlisle. The Hotel is in the town centre, therefore you could hear street noises until at least midnight. Our room was more or less OK, but friends were complaining that the shower in their room wasn't working. I personally did not like breakfast as I can't stand English breakfast.
