out of 5Excellent trip to york. The weather was fabulous from the minute we arrived. The hotel was a slightly longer walk from the train station than we initially thought although not unpleasant. If you had heavy suitcases or it was raining it would be advisable to get a taxi. Everything was easily accessable from the hotel. The castle area was just round the corner and it was only a 5 minute walk to the jorvik centre. York is fabulous for just wandering around the streets window shopping and people watching. Loads of restaurants and pubs with outdoor space for when the weather is good. Great please to visit without the worry of parking the car.

out of 5From the minute we arrived until we checked out the experience was incrediable. All the staff were helpful, courtious and on hand without being invasive. We left feeling refreshed and glad of the experience. Thank you, one and all.

out of 5Myself and my 9 year old daughter stayed overnight in york. It was our second stay at the novotel a hotel we would recommend to anyone with a family.The hotel has many family features we made use of including gaming consoles and a pool, the staff are second to none. We enjoyed an evening meal at the hotel the only problem arose when a coach party who were staying at the hotel as well came to eat in the restaurant as well- this slowed down service. Overall a fantastic trip definately one to recommend to friends.
