The weekend was really good and relaxing, the hotel was really nice the staff were very friendly and the food was good. Liverpool was very clean, the albert dock was nice to walk round, we had 2 children with us 16 and nearly 3 and there was plenty to do to occupy both age groups. There was the ice skating rink set up in the gardens near liverpool 1 and that was really nice. Would certainly revisit.

The mercure north hay hotel was very clean, comfortable and friendly. The staff were very obliging even though having to cope with a large coach party as well as the other guests. The area has much to entertain visitors and we did not get time to see all we wanted, so will be returning at some time.

We visited chester zoo as part of a birthday present for my brother. Haven't been to a better zoo, it had everything! spent about 4 hours there! the aquarium was a last minute decision the next day. My brother enjoyed it as it had a plentiful amount of sharks there! could do to be a little bigger considering the entry price. Only takes about an hour to look round so is very handy that it is next to chesire oaks shopping outlet! definitely a visit that must be made as it offers something for everyone and you can spend a full day here easily!.

The hotel was great in every way and we will stay there again. Our day at the zoo was very good and well organised.

Hotel is centrally located between Chester, Cheshire oaks and Chester zoo. Have stayed many times so that speaks for itself. Clean, welcoming, excellent staff and good value for money. Only downside, the bar is very expensive if you are not on the all inclusive deal.
