out of 5I took my daughter for a weekend break to celebrate her 18th birthday. We enjoyed shopping in the beautiful city, especially in her fave shop jack wills! the Grosvenor is situated in the heart of the city, which was great when we needed a rest! The room was first class, everything we needed, with quality furnishings, tv and bose music system. All of the staff were very helpful and looked after our luggage after check out, so that we didn't have to worry about them. We had a great nights sleep in the very comfortable beds, and breakfast was excellent!.

out of 5Grosvenor hotel (5*) very comfortable and well up to its published standard, except that we did not find out until too late that its famous (michelin) restaurant did not open on Sunday or Monday. Also, tv in the room had a distorted picture (wrong aspect ratio) which could not be cured despite immediate attendance of the engineer. Dinner in their brasserie excellent. Chester is an intresting and attractive town hotel recommended upstairs at the grill as an alternative restaurant - large selection of good-looking steak, but poor non-steak dishes. Requested a rare steak, was told medium-rare would be ok, got two very thin pieces not at all rare.

out of 5Great location, right in heart of Chester, five star service by staff although surroundings very nice....not exactly 5star. food excellent in hotel...drinks pricey, would recommend to friends...Mum loved using the chaffaur driven car to take us to Chester zoo for the day...very nice break!!!!
