We travel on short breaks a lot, this was first time with Superbreak and staying at the Crowne Plaza Chester. The staff at the hotel were brill couldn't do enough to accommodate our needs, nothing was too much trouble. Hotel standards beautiful and clean, comfortable and relaxing. Had spa and treatment, it was wonderful. Definately go back again.

A Sizzling Weekend In Chester

A customer from DUNS who stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Stay Date: 29/05/09

Overall Hotel Rating:

4 out of 5

We stayed at The Crowne Plaza in an Executive Double. Enormous comfy bed, flat screen TV, Mini bar & all the usual facilities expected from an Executive room including the use of the Exec. lounge where tasty canapes and a choice of beers, wines & soft drinks are served complimentary from 5 - 8pm. During our visit the weather was the hottest of the year so far so it was a real pleasure to spend time by the river and see the sights on a river trip. There's a real buzz by the river with lots going on. A walk through the beautiful park back up into the town is a must. We ate at The Living Room just by the Cathedral and the food was excellent. We also tried the hotel restaurant and the bar lounge menu both of which are to be recommended.

A Fabulous Visit to Chester

A customer who stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Stay Date: 18/11/07

Overall Hotel Rating:

5 out of 5

The main purpose of the visit was to see the historic part of Chester- To orientate ourselves we took a half-hour tour on a vintage open topped bus with an on board guide pointing out the main topics of interest and some history. In spite of the temperature and the rain this tour added to the enjoyment of the visit. Following this tour we visited 'The Rows' , the first galleried shoppin centre!and walked the 'City Wall'. As a bonus the Christmas Decorations had been lit and created a fantasy wonderland. The East Gate Clock was particularly inspiring and the staircase of locks on the canal was awesome.

Chester With Kids

A customer who stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Stay Date: 31/03/07

Overall Hotel Rating:

4 out of 5

After arriving quite late, we took advantage of the excellent vintage tour bus with guide - very enjoyable for the children and informative for adults. We took late lunch in one of the tea rooms on Cheste Rows and the kids really enjoyed looking down on the husle and bustle of the street scene. After some excellent shopping, we had a swim and meal in the hotel. The following day we went to Knowsley Safari park - brilliant fun - the difference over a zoo is amazing - the monkeys stole a piece of rubbber trim from the car. On return, a further swim then great meal at Piccolino's. The following day after another great breakfast, we headed for Liverpool then the ferry home.
