Great Day In The Beautiful Herefordshire Countryside

out of 5We drove to symonds yat and had a good walk round before climbing up to symonds rock - a steep incline cut into the hillside. It was a beautiful day and we spent the time taking in the views overlooking the river wye winding its way through the vale below. We then set off for ross-on-wye and our stay in the royal hotel, again overlooking the river. We enjoyed just one night at the hotel, staying in a large room on the corner of the hotel with two windows, one overlooking the church, the other the river. The meal my husband and i took in the restaurant was adequate but nothing special. However, this did not spoil our stay and we would definitely return should we be in the area.

out of 5Ross on wye is an attractive small town, on our visit it was bitterley cold so did not see much of it. Had evening meal in hotel which was good, unfortunatly at breakfast we found dirty cutlery and cooked breakfast was only luke warm.
