We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to winchester. The hotel was centrally situated with its own car park and therefore very convenient for exploring the city centre on foot. The hotel was clean and comfortable with an attractive garden and represented excellent value for money. Winchester is steeped in history,f ascinating to visit, and very alive with lots going on. Well worth a visit.

Fantastic location with lots to do in the immediate location especially useful if you dont have a car. The hotel could do with a bit of a refurb as it was quite shabby in places ie the box divan bed was all torn along the bottom and the fleece had a big hole in it lots of chipped paint. But the garden was beautiful and we ate all our meals in it.

Hotel very nice, we checked in late, parking was ok we got the last space. The only thing we found was the newer building which we were in was very warm you could feel it when you went from the old part of the building to the new. It was a warm evening and the room was very very warm, uncomfortably so. We did open the windows but it did not make any difference. That is the only negative. Hotel breakfast was very good in lovely surroundings. Would recommend.

Winchester is so utterly charming, immaculate and largely undeveloped that i would recommend it as a must see in the south of england.

We stayed here to break our journey on the way to catch the ferry from Portsmouth to Santander. It was an excellent start to our holiday. The hotel gardens were a pleasant place in which to relax over a drink after sightseeing, and the hotel is really well situated in the centre of Winchester, with the bonus of plenty of free parking and helpful and friendly staff.
