out of 5Really nice break in London. Did the sightseeing tour by bus and river cruise which was a great way to see the main sites. Hotel on the whole was poor, small just adequate room no sink plug, questionable cleanliness, decor rather tired, breakfast was just passable as 'full english' although cold when served. Server barely spoke english so very difficult to seek redress.

out of 5The Hallam Hotel was in a very convenient situation basic but very clean and exactly what I wanted. I used to work in London so know the city very well so I walked everywhere. Great weather so the walk from oxford street to the natural history museum through Hyde park and Kensington Gardens was a real treet.

out of 5A pleasent trip with Virgin trains fucntioning to perfection and a memorabel event in watching Mamma Mia followed by a lengthy trip round the British Museuam made our short London break memorable. The hotel was the only fly in this particular ointment, difficult to sleep because of the constant noise from the lift which itself was Noahesque followed by the debacle that was breakfast which included having to clear your own table and find your own cutlery and as for the food the least said etc. Overall we enjoyed it but the hotel is not to be repeated.
