out of 5Hotel is in central town position. Easy to walk to the railway station. Good meals in hotel restaurant. Friendly, helpful receptionist. Furnishing in bedrooms a bit dark and old but comfortable.

out of 5This hotel was situated perfectly for my visit to family. Only 5 mins away. Hotel room was good, bed extremely comfortable with tea making facilities. Food at the hotel was good, a bit skimpy with breakfast but very nice. I will be staying again.

out of 5our visit was to friends who have recently moved into the area We found Alton to be a very friendly place, the staff at the Swan Hotel couldn't have been more helpful and obliging Although we didn't get to see a lot of the area we are certainly looking forward to a return visit and some exploring
