out of 5Very pleasent hotel on the door step of the barbican for a great night out, lots of bars and restaurants. Good jazz festival as well every may day bank holiday.

out of 5Stayed at this hotel before but only had room only, this stay decided on breakfast as well. Breakfast was very poor overall stay ok but not special.

out of 5There is nowhere for cabs to set down passengers at the front door - it is on a dual carriageway - so you have to drag your luggage along the pavement. The music in the lounge/restaurant is quite intrusive - if i wanted to hear other guests singing along to 80s hits, even at breakfast time, i would go to a karoke bar! The evening meals in the restaurant left a lot to be desired. On the first night the 'maitre d'' initially showed me to a dirty table, and then, after two separate staff at ten minute intervals had come to take my order, he tried to present me with the bill before my main course arrived. On the second evening the poor waitress was very embarassed by the fact that the list of things not available that night from the menu was longer than the list of what was!.
