About this hotel
The fabulous 5 Star Athenaeum looks over leafy Green Park and is a very short stroll to Buckingham Palace, the chic-est shops and West End theatres. Small and family-owned, it has 156 rooms, suites and apartments. It feels like your home from home in London with as standard: Bose docking station for your iPod or MP3, plasma screen TV with pay per view movies, mini bar soft drinks and snacks on the house, plus opening floor to ceiling windows to enjoy even more of the view. The look and feel is creative and contemporary, warm and friendly. Delightful surprises include the colossal Living Wall Garden outside and the Spa and gymnasium (both currently under refurbishment until Autumn 2010 ; however use of a nearby spa can be arranged by hotel, and there is an interim gym located on the hotel's first floor) and Hair and Beauty Salon. There’s all day dining in the Restaurant, where the surroundings are as gorgeous as the food.
