A Full And Busy Weekend In London
A customerfrom UKwho stayed at 3* Osterley Park Hotel in Isleworth wrote this review.
Stay Date: 28/08/11
Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5We chose the hotel for its location being close to relatives and we used an oyster card to get about. We crammed in a lot - there is so much to chose from and we had a great time. It was a good job we only required a place to lay our head for a couple of nights as, despite requesting a quiet room we were given the room closest to the busy and noisy a4 road. The hotel was also rather run down, but there were also signs about to indicate that renovations were being undertaken. It's just a pity that we didn't have one of the renovated rooms!.
Fantastic Weekend With Family In London

out of 5We arranged a last minute weekend trip to London to meet family who were over from Australia and booked this hotel through Superbreak. ts only a 5 min walk to north action tube station for the central line straight into London, so easy and quick. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was excellent. The family room was a good size but we were at the front of the hotel and the main busy road opposite was quite noisy at night with the windown open but once closed it was fine. They also have a kids play area in the bar so it was lovely to come back after a day in London and relax in the bar with a drink whilst the kids played away. Would definitely stay in this hotel again and also recommend it to family and friends.

out of 5Easy to find, quite close to tube station for trips into London. Aircraft noise was a problem. Hotel rooms in desperate need of updating, smelt musty. Breakfast was very good for continental, but choice of food to eat at hotel/bar very limited to indian food but very nice, and there was no childrens meals.

out of 5Visited London to see a band at the shepherds bush empire. Hotel very close to the tube line so getting around was easy. Husband had to work so spent a lot of time in the hotel, which wasn't a bad thing - room was lovely and with their internet and film package I had plenty to do. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was comfortable and friendly.

out of 5We returned to London for a visit, having left to live in Italy 10 years ago. We were very excited to be coming back with our 2 children, one of whom was born there. We weren't disappointed. It was quite emotional to arrive at the Houses of Parliament in the evening as Big Ben struck 9 and the London Eye was lit up - our children were so happy to see it. Customer service was wonderful, London was clean and cheerful - we had an absolute ball (and on a budget too!). The Osterley Park Hotel was excellent, with a great breakfast which set us up for the day. The room was clean and serviced each day, beds comfortable, a short bus and tube ride to the centre - we'll definitely go back more often now. Where was the publicity for 2012 though? Come on London shout about it, you're going to be great hosts!!.

out of 5We stayed in London for a gig at the Shepherds Bush Empire and a day at Kew Gardens, then going on for a weekend in Chichester. The gig was brilliant, as was the venue, and we had an enjoyable Polish meal at the Tatra beforehand. Kew was fabulous: we hadn't visited for many years, the weather was kind, and we had a very full day following the Spring walk, ending with dinner at La Cantina in Ealing. Keen to return for the other seasons' walks! The hotel was comfortable, the staff extremely helpful, and the location was well-connected for driving in and then using public transport. The only downside was the cooked breakfast, though there was a good range of cold buffet alternatives. I've fed this back to the hotel, who have responded very positively. On the whole, a good experience.

out of 5We were visiting our daughters new university in Ealing that she is going to from October, so most of our time was visiting that plus the campus. We did manage to get some sightseeing in, mainly for her as the wife and I are regular visitors to London. Never the less London was its usual brilliant self where you need not pay anything to be entertained.
A Great Weekend - Despite the Weather
A customerfrom Derbyshirewho stayed at 3* Ramada Encore London West in North Acton wrote this review.
Stay Date: 31/10/08
Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5Stayed in North Acton at the Ramada Encore Hotel. Very quick check in. Room spacious and modern, with double bed, and a settee which was nice. Bathroom spotless, shower excellent. Breakfast on both mornings was also excellent. Help yourself to anything, and they had everything you could think of. The rooms had wooden floors so expecting some noise from rooms above, but didnt hear a thing. Visit to the museum was good, loads to see and do. The zoo was a bit disapointing, but it was raining. Blood Brothers at Phoenix Theatre was excellent, tickets £22.50 each, well worth it. Camden and the Market was huge, shops and stalls everywhere, but again it was raining so didnt get chance to have a good look around - you would need all day. But a lovely weekend despite the weather. Hotel was near the underground,so it was worth staying on the outskirts as it saved on parking and we didnt have to pay congestion charge. Would recommend this hotel for its location, food, cleanliness and friendliness.

out of 5We went to London to see the museums which we really enjoyed, but we could have done with another day, so we will have to return to London again. Our hotel was again up to standard. The room was great- very large with a sofa. This room was as expectred after our first stay at the Ramada Encore in December. The room looked over the carpark this time - last time we over looked the road. The hotel bar was very cosy but a bit pricey. We will certainly be returninhg to this hotel as it was excellent and we could not fault the rooms, service or food.

out of 5We stayed for one night in this hotel, it was clean and tidy and staff were very helpful. Only thing I could fault was the time it took on cental line to north acton - this was a bit of a pain as we went out with friends in London for a meal then drinks and had to end up getting a taxi back which we didn't mind doing as it was late but it cost £25.

out of 5We stayed at the Ramada Encore West because of its closeness to the tube station and with it being on the Central line you can easily get around London from there. We visited the Whitehall area for a Jack the Ripper Walk which was interesting. We did a Thames River Cruise followed by a trip on the London eye. I enjoyed the crise as the commentary was both educational and funny!I got to see Buckingham Palace which I've never seen before and the Diana memorial fountain was also well worth seeing. The weekend was action packed and the weather wasnt the best but we still had a great time.

out of 5The whole idea was for our 2 children, 11 & 14 years to gain an insight into city life, experience the "hussel and bussel" of London.Eyes widened and faces lit up in the Natural History Museum. The underground faised no-one, squeezed in like sardines although tried to avoid rush hour. Walking around with huge majestic buildings, statues, and places only seen on TV before at your side, acknowledging diversity and individuality of places and people.
