Watch out for the traffic. No-one stops at crossings.Use the metro to get around, it's cheap and quick.Be prepared to walk your socks off.

Short Break in Rome

A customerwho stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Stay Date: 16/03/07

Overall Hotel Rating:

3 out of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our short break, taking in numerous historic sights and monuments. We used the Metro system frequently to get to the various sights and found this a must.Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel were out of this world however I would recommend a guide as there is so much to take in and see.The Colluseum was excellent and much more reasonable than expected costing only 11 euros each to get in and the children were free.A little disapointed with some of the locals who were rather unhelpful when seeking advice but on the whole it was lovely place to visit and we would certainly go back.

Trip to Rome

A customerfrom Ashingtonwho stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Stay Date: 23/12/06

Overall Hotel Rating:

4 out of 5

Hotel was well situated and in the area as described on Internet. Clean rooms, although the bed was made each day, glasses not washed or replaced. No way to use kettle, except crawling under the table!! Travelled over Christmas break and the Vatican was amazing.Saw the Pope give his blessing, atmosphere unforgettable.Sadly, food was very bad everywhere, all pre-cooked and then heated in a microwave. Very disappointing for Italy. On last day, taxi speed off so fast, I left my video camera and scarf in the back..After speaking with 6 taxi companies (via a helpful receptionist at hotel) I did not recover the video. Spent an hour back at St. Peters speaking with taxi drivers but no luck. Marco (receptionist on last day, was very unsympathetic and said he was too busy to help me...not good customer service relationship Marco!!) Other staff though were very helpful, in particular the Hotel taxi driver. Most concerned of my loss and helped us look at taxis at the airport.Sad feelings of trip in Rome, but sights were amazing and will return again in the future.
