Located on the stunning English Riviera, Torquay has plenty to offer including exhilarating water sports, breathtaking scenery, 22 miles of golden beaches and plenty of Torquay hotels to choose from. Disappointing For A 4* Hotel

out of 5The hotel reception appeared understaffed, the room was tired in appearance and the furnishings were worn. The restaurant above was hosting a wedding and there was a rain of lit cigerette ends on the terrace outside our room. Plus, we had to pay for parking. The views were stunning, but as there were large patio doors rather than any windows, if you wanted fresh air you were very exposed i was surprised at the change in the area over the last 10 years, it seemed full of young drunken people, even at 6 in the evening there were people staggering about the streets.

out of 5The two night break was great. We had the extra bonus of a room upgrade, as we visited the barcelo before. The meal was good value as this in the price, but to eat there is very expensive.

out of 5Had the 'spare room' when we arrived, musty and smelled of smoke, but after mentioning it to reception we were moved the following day to a much nicer room, quality of food and choice of evening meals was excellent, hotel was a 3 minute stroll from beach and 8 mins from torquay centre, beach itself was very clean and free from dogs, great place for a short break, the sun helped a lot as well!!.
