I have wanted to see this show since I saw it being advertised in New York a couple of years ago. My wife (whose birthday supprise this was)and myself were not dissapointed. This is a first class show with a first class cast. The theatre, The Prince Edward in Old Compton is lovely with good seating and views and looked to have been recently refurbished is in the middle of Soho and the opportunity to have a drink at many of the varied pubs, bars and restaraunts and people watch is amazing entertainment in itself. What a vibrant and colouful part of the city. The Jersey Boys which is the story of Franki Valli and the 4 Seasons is a non stop, foot tapping, hand clapping journey down memory lane and the Actor who portrayed Valli in particular has a voice as good as Franki himself. I would recomend this show definately to any one over 50 and even to younger people who have a love of music history and excellent pop, doo wop, R & B and four part harmony, even The Beatles were fans of this group.

With little knowledge of the storyline or theme prior to the show I hadn't formed any expectations, but judging by the excited messages I received throughout the day, I was anticipating a treat. I wasn't disappointed. But the opening scene had me wondering, with three girls screeching a tune on a relatively bare stage (at that time)...but thankfully my concern lasted just 30 seconds, and once the harmonies started flowing and the storyline developing it became gripping stuff. Like all good stories it was a pleasure to follow the highs and lows throughout. The use of each of the four main characters throughout the show as narrators of the story was fantastic, giving it real depth. All in all, thoroughly recommended!

The show was fantastic, although I was a little shocked at the foul language (perhaps I am a little old fashioned)but I would still reccommend it to anyone. The cast were terrific the settings nothing remarkable but the cast made up for that.At the end of the show a birthday cake was brought on stage for (Franki) it was his birthday and all the audience sang "Happy Birthday" it just so happenend to be my 60th birthday also (which was the reason for the week-end)so I felt part of the celebrations it just ended the evening top class, fantastic even though I am now an official OAP.

There's no doubt that with its high production values, terrific songs, great singing and slick staging, 'Jersey Boys' will give almost anyone a great night out. The story is fascinatingly told through the eyes of each of the original band members, so that the audience gets a range of viewpoints, highlighting how it all began and the route each band member took. A great story of how young men discovering fame and fortune after years of dogged failure handle the pressures of life on the road. The four leads performed charismatically and sang perfectly. Big thumbs up

Absolutely fantastic! I'm an avid musical theatre goer, and I am rarely disappointed in the West End and Jersey Boys is certainly no exception! The cast were absolutely perfect and as many songs were squeezed in as possible (this not being a bad thing, especially if you are a Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons fan!) At the end of the show everybody stood up in applause and during the reprise song stayed clapping and standing and even dancing! Myself and my friends came out with a real buzz and a hunger to buy all the music and sound tracks!
