Great Few Days In London

out of 5Excellent accommodation at princes gardens, great service and great room, couldn't believe how good it was, especially including full breakfast and the first night's evening meal. Princes gardens is just off exhibition road, so just right for visiting the science museum, natural history museum or the v & a, and it's only a few hundred yards from hyde park if you fancy a walk in the evening. Have no hesitation in recommending it. Went on a duck tour when we arrived in london, which is really great, you get a guided tour and a trip on the river. Ordering london travel cards in advance was well worth it - you can get an off-peak one for zones 1-4, which let's you travel all day after 9.30am on the tube and anywhere on london buses. Our main reason for coming to london was to do some family history research at the london metropolitan archive, but we also had a wander round the east end area where my wife's family came from and visited the museum of london docklands, which is free and absolutely fascinating - all about how london and the docks developed. All in all a great few days away, and having somewhere nice to stay added to the enjoyment - we'll definitely use princes gardens again.
