Short break to see the many sights of liverpool and to celebrate both my birthday & valentine's. Enjoyed the break. Hotel & location ok. Not a place that I would visit frequently.

Have stayed at hotel several times when visiting my daughter at Liverpool Hope. At 65 pds for 2 adults and one child including breakfast consider value for money. Staff always polite and helpful, bedrooms spotless, very comfortable beds, always enjoy my stay here, especially as right across from the airport, can get 500 bus for 3.80 return into town goes every 30 mins and takes 30 mins.

We visited speke hall on the afternoon before we flew out of liverpool. The hotel staff were very helpful in booking our taxi to the airport. We had a meal in damons restaurant which is across the car park. Picking up the car was easy and it felt safe leaving it on site at the hotel.

We went on a ferry across the mersey, though the attrations in birkenhead weren't fantastic for a 2 1/2 year old, he loved the ferry! Hotel fantastic, loved the decor and Damons restaurant only 5 min walk away.

Brilliant room at the Adelphi hotel. Had a toddler with us the space was brilliant for him to move around in. All the staff were very helpful and cheerful, nothing too much trouble. Front views over the now empty lewis's store (shame). Walking distance to city centre. Everywhere smiling faces and good humour. Plenty of offers of help with pushchair by teenage boys, very surprising. Beautiful buildings and very good transport. The duckmarine trip into the water at Albert Dock was superb and excellent tour guide throughout the city section of the tour. Well worth the money. Even though our toddler slept through the water bit! Can't speak highly enough of all the detail from booking to arriving to leaving, very very good.

Had a wonderful time, nice friendly people, wonderful history, affordable food and drink.

Superb location of hotel for visiting all the attractions,shops and restuarants. Hotel was very clean and room large.

Very central but very old fashioned hotel with primitive bathroom facilities, no shower curtain for example.

The shops were excellent, the hotel & food was too. Will definitiely come back again as there are other things I would like to go and see that I didn't get time to do this time.

We flew out of Liverpool airport first thing and enjoyed our relaxing stay at the Hilton.

Always wanted to stay at the Adelphi in Liverpool, daughter at university 40 minutes away ideal base to visit. Hotel lovely, staff excellent. Room really big and bedding/towels spotless. Maid service excellent and staff really friendly anjd ready to help. Only unfortunate thing was room was next to a lift and this was very noisy when it was used, could hear all the mechanics and doors shutting. Otherwise fantastic hotel, excellent location for shops, Albert Docks and both train stations. Somewhere to leave cases when arrived early and after checking our. Would recommend 100%.

We stayed at the Adelphi hotel situated in centre of Liverpool. Great location. Requested a quiet room which was on second floor and lift. Unfortunately the extra restaurants usually open inthe hotel were closed but found great italian one opposite which we went in for our 2 nights stay. We had large bedroom and bathroom. The down side was it was very cold as the heating was only working over night. There was no shower just a very large deep old fashioned bath tho there was plenty of hot water. We requested a late snack sandwich on the Fri night which was excellent and delivered promptly. We were within reach of all major shops so did not require to use taxi or buses. And just few minutes from train station. Mccartneys bar was quite nice to visit and close. But on the whole as we are more mature customers struggled to find a town centre bar that was not loud and frequented by youngsters.

At first very impressive but we had a very small room. The breakfast was cold and we had to wait for the food to come out of the kitchen not very good quality food.

We visited liverpool to celebrate my 2 sons birthdays (21 and 18). The primary reason for our visit was for the Liverpool v Man Utd football match on the Sunday but we stayed from Saturday until Monday. Liverpool is a great city - vibrant and full of life. Our hotel was beautiful and very reasonably priced. It was, however, a little way out of the centre with a taxi costing about £15 each way. Nonetheless I would recommend this hotel. The staff were very good and very friendly. This was our second trip to Liverpool and on this occasion we visited the Albert Dock museum which is very interesting and includes an exhibit about the Titanic which we were interested in. We ate in Jamie Carragher's Cafe Sports England on my son's birthday and although the staff were very attentive, I did feel the food wasn't as good as anticipated. The portions were very small and my husband's steak wasn't just well done - it was charcoal, nonetheless we enjoyed the atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant. We also visited a restaurant on the top floor of Liverpool One overlooking the dock (a diner) which served ribs to die for - can't remember the name but worth a visit.

This hotel is really different. It was very cosy. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was wonderful. The only thing that could have been better in my opinion would have been the restaurant, we did not use it as it did not look inviting or comfortable. Our break was booked as a mystery and was very good value. Easy to get to Liverpool city from here in a 15min drive. There were buses that stopped outside and I presume these went to the city. We enjoyed a walk along Otterspool promenade too.

Had to spend weekend in Liverpool due to band engagement. Excellent hotel, although we thought we'd booked bed & breakfast, and there was a mistake with the booking. So, at £16 per person for breakfast, we did not partake at the hotel, as we felt that £130 for breakfast for 4 over the 2 days was expensive. Other than that no complaints. Excellent beds.

We were visiting Liverpool to attend a golden wedding anniversary. We combined it with a visit to Liverpool to see the improvements for the city of culture. Very impressive, except for the large office block that is being constructed next to the Liver building, which looks like a multistorey carpark.

Hotel was expensive for facilities offered. Much better class and choice of hotel at Manchester airport and much cheaper. This hotel clearly capitalised on the fact that there are so few airport hotels nearby.

Hotel was in perfect location for shopping and attraction that we went for. Hote was 'five star' and staff very very friendly, couldn't do enough for you, a credit to the hotel industry!

Excellent hotel, but food and drink very expensive. Visited lots of interesting places in Liverpool via the sight seeing bus - good value and drivers helpful. Visited Jodrell Bank on the way home, so a good weekend.

Anfield stadium tour - a great day out for any football fan.

Hotel convenient for airport, with free transfers. Disappointed when we arrived back from holiday at midnight that the bar in hotel was closed. Previously breakfast was included but now £15.00 pp.Best part of the day was returning to hotel and relaxing tired mind and limbs in leisure centre.

Old fashioned and smelly. Staff were more interested in the results of the LiverpoolvChelsea match than serving the public.However Liverpool itself was great with lots to see and do and fab shops and restaurants.

The hotel rooms and beds were luxurious.Meals were expensive,£16 for a breakfast,dinner also costly and not a great deal of choice. We went on this break specially for the football match, it's the only way I have ever been able to get tickets. But separately booking hotel and match,if possible, would have saved me £126 and we would have got breakfast included too. That is an extortionate charge for Thomas Cook to make just for arranging everything. That is the price of another weekend away!

We really enjoyed watching Liverpool beat Blackburn 4-0 at Anfiled and were deligthed to get the autographs of most of the Liverpool players after the match. It was a shame that train cancellations meant we missed the mini tour of the stadium I had booked but at least we got to look around the Museum.We went to teh Catholic Cathedral in Liverpool for the Easter Vigil service which was very nice if a little long.

This hotel in my opinion was way overpriced. the room itself was big but I asked for a quiet room and got one on 2nd floor beside the lift so therefore we were unable to get a good night,s sleep, taps on the bath were dangerous as they kept falling off while hot water was running.

Hotel was Good but rather exspensive to get into town, approx 20 min taxie run.

I have never had such a bad stay the staff where not helpful , the bedroom was dirty i asked if there was a bath as i cant stand in shower they told me no go and book other place as they dont have baths . The drinks where very expensive I paid 4.80 for a single vodka coke . the breakfast well i had stale bread . i was very upset with the stay and plan never to stop there again .

On family business, had stayed here before when it was a marriott; standard now excellent -from the speedy check in when we arrived behind a coach full of people, the organisation was exemplary,it took less than 2 minutes.We could not fault anything from room service to beds and all with a prompt and cheerful demeanour.We will return when we are next in the area.Walked to our lady of the Tyn (beautiful frescoes) and church of St James (indredible frecoes and paintings) Obecni dum not to be missed for food service and grandeur.

We had a fantastic 2 days in Liverpool and will return soon. The Hotel is a magnificent building retaining most of its original features. The heating and hot wter etc are excellent and everywhere was very clean. The fixtures are very dated as is the bedroom furniture but everything works fine and is clean, a small price to pay given the wonderful enviroment. We booked through Superbreak and made a huge saving on the direct cost!

Loads to visit, fantastic people, will definitely go back in the summer. Crowne Plaza John Lennon Airport art deco style very comfy clean hotel. Local buses from outside hotel 20 mins to Albert Dock,great service.

A good view across Liverpool from my room at the Britannia Hotel only spoiled by the Police sirens during the night. The hotel room was clean but needs updated. Breakfast was expensive for what was presented.I was in Liverpool for my old Company reunion. "The Blue Funnel Line" which was held at the Holiday Inn on Lime Street

first visit to liverpool but will return. plenty of attractions.get the open topped bus & hop off whenever.loads of shops the one has just opened v good. albert dock certainley worth a walk around. get a ferry across the mersey.visit beatle museum & don't miss the cavern.

Superb hotel and customer service. Over Nights stay included 8 days free parking in hotel carpark. Shuttle service to airport prompt and efficient.Well recommended. Beautiful charismatic hotel instead of usual drab airport accommodation. Excelllent, wouldnt hesitate to use again.

My teenage daughter and myself recently enjoyed a short break at the Adelphi. The room was far better than I had expected for the price, both cathederals and the Liver building formed part of the view. The Adelphi is a five minute walk from Lime Street Station and had secure storage for bags before the room became available making train travel a good option.After a day at the nearby Tate, Albert Docks and the shopping centres the hotel sauna and swimming pool were very relaxing, well worth an extra 5GBP each.

Albert Dock was interseting, but nothing was open in the evening and the eating places not what we were looking for. The tour of Anfield was superb, the two guides were both witty and knowledgable. Hotel was very central, but was surpisingly dead with the bars pretty empty in the evenings. Nothing there to attract our young teens - even had to be out of the pool by 5pm. Generally an older persons place.

The hotel was fine though most patrons are over 65 and on coach tours. breakfast was varied and edible though not anything special. rooms were great large and period the beds were much more comfortable than they looked. restaurant staff worked really hard reception could practice smiling a bit. location spot on. we didn't use the car once. shops great, plenty of places to eat, suiting lots of budgets. loads going on around the city centre. highly recommend giving Liverpool a visit.

Bright and clean, comfy twin single beds, parking adjacent and ok, hotel feels like in middle of field! Despite proximity to airport a quiet night

The Adelphi Hotel is very well situated in the centre Of Liverpool in walking distance from Lime Street Station and St Gerorge's Hall. It is, however, very noisy since every pub in the vicinity was blaring loud music into the street. Our room was large, clean and comfortable with a good bathroom. Closing windows was a struggle. The restraunts in the hotel did not appeal although the one in which we had breakfast was satisfactory.

The Adelphi Hotel is brilliantly situated at the main pedestrian shopping area, minutes from Lime Street Station and central station, 5 minutes from Albert Dock, where the Beatles Museum is. The Cavern is at most a 5 - 10 minute walk at most. The majority of pubs are reasonably priced except for the Albert Dock area and the posh lounge bit in the Adelphi. We had a brilliant 3 nights and 4 days in Liverpool. We will go again, the people are great and enjoy a good time.

We stayed at the historic Adelphi which, considering its age, is a good hotel (Parking £10 per day).We did the brilliant two-hour Beatles tour and then finished with retail therapy in the excellent pedestrian shopping centre.Tribute band The Beat Beatles playing at the Cavern Club, admission £1. The place was packed and jumping. We are both in our early 60s but did not feel out of place, young and old rocking together.

The Beatles Museum was very interesting and informative. Excellent value for money. The Maritime Museum was well laid out and an excellent mornings entertainment - and for free. We found a wealth of real ale pubs during the music walk with unique tiled interiors, although despite having at least 16 pumps at the bar the 'Head of Steam' next to Lime Street Station didn't have any bitters on at all.

We enjoyed a weekend short break in Liverpool. We stayed at the Britainnia Adelphi Hotel which is ideally located for the City Shops although the bedrooms we not great the rest of the HOtel was lovely and French food and breakfast delicious.The price of the break for a family of 5 was excellent and the hotel had a pol and gym also. We did some shopping and visited the cavern and the beatles attraction. Also had a stroll around the Albert Dock. A pleasant break.

A party of six of us stayed at the Britannia Adelphi, Liverpool for a two-night stay. We were informed that the hotel was 4* but we felt this was not the case. We were disappointed by the standards in the bedrooms. They were very dusty (someone had written 'mother' in the mirror in our room which had not been cleaned), the shower head did not work properly, a piece of glass was lodged in the sink of one of the bathrooms and one of the beds had torn sheets on it. We felt these problems should not have arisen.

We were there because of the flights we had booked.We do strongly feel that a family room should have 1 doudle and 2 single beds ,not all families have same sex children !!!!!!!

We spent one day and night in Liverpool for a friend's Hen Night. We spent the day following a treasure hunt around places of interest then went into town in the evening.I would recommend the hotel for this type of trip as it is very central and very comfortable. I wouldn't recommend it for families (especially Saturday night) as it was still very much alive at 2.30am!I would definitely recommend Weatherspoons, just down the road from the Adelphi, for breakfast - especially the breakfast sandwich! Great value for money.

Travel on the tour bus very good. Blue Cross guide was excellent We walked around the rest of the day. Took a taxi once-very good value for moneyVisited the Walker Gallery (a lovely collection) and the Victorian reading room in the Central library. Very good tea shop in the gallery. Staff very friendly and helpful in both buildingsWe were lucky to see the mosaic floor in St George's Hall- a beautiful building

Liverpool is a great city plenty to do for all, hotel is old but great a place to stay if you are going to visit liverpool you must stay at the Adelphi.

Very disappointed with hotel & staff.

Excellen Hotel - original terminal buildings - great Art Deco style - staff excellent

Liverpool has several superb pubs , full of lots of History . The Ship and Mitre.133 Dale Stret is an Art Deco paradise . The up stairs bar is out of this world . The choice of Real Ale is also out of this world .

We toured Liverpool on the open top bus. Excellent value ?6.00 for a 24 hour ticket, running commentary, on and off when you wanted.Recalled our memories of the Beatles - The Beatles museum at Albert dock. Trip down street where the Cavern was, had a drink in The Grapes where they drank. Brought back lots of memories.Excellent shopping city. Large branch of Lewis' outside hotel. Seemed to be branch of every shop you could think of.

We used the local buses to get around as the tour bus was not running. People were very helpful. The main shopping area was very good and all the big brand names were presentEasy to find your way around. The World Museum had great interactive things for children to do, and it was free, great for a rainy day

The visit was purely to catch an early morning flight from Liverpool Airport. The Liverpool Marriott Hotel was extremely comfortable, the breakfast superb, and the bus to and from the treminal worked very well. The car was parked near the hotel foyer, all in all a good visit which worked well. We shall do it again.

Liverpool is a city bustling with life, friendly people and great shopping. We went for a graduation ceremony in Liverpool Cathedral which is magnificent and very new but you won't believe that when you see it. Also, it is huge - you can fit St Pauls inside it. Hope you all enjoy Liverpool as much as we did. ps Great food everywhere we went, Porchinnis is outstanding!!

Liverpool is such a fun place. Mathew street with all it's 60s beatles memorabilia. The cavern has some good bands. You have to take the Ferry cross the mersey. With it's commentry giving details of all the building and the history, very interesting. The Open Top Tour Bus is a great way to get around we found this very educational.

Noisy hotel Room from Music Bar beneath room until after midnight. Difficulty sleeping. Hotel itself and room fantastic Liverpool a fantastic city with great atmosphere

We thorougly enjoyed the waterfront at Liverpool and the Albert Dock with its magnificent buildings, museums and atmosphere of recent history. Our stay in the Britannia Adelphi Hotel set the scene for memories of the Titanic, with its splendid public rooms and feel of yesteryear. This was consolidated by a presentation at the Maritime Museum by an Edwardian journalist on "The Tragedy of the Titanic" - it was almost like being there! A great break for all the family.

I went to Liverpool to collect my daughter from University with my 6 year old daughter. The 6 year old loved the hotel and swimming pool. She said she was a princess, particularly when we got room service for breakfast. I loved the jacuzzi bathtub and the child sensitive way the restaurant served us. We had a wonderful stay and resonably priced.
