out of 5Hotel directions from train station could be better, but once got bearings easy to find. Good bus service, service q1 takes you to train station or interchange for metro shopping centre etc and q2 across the water takes you to centre of newcastle for more shopping centres and newcastle football stadium short walk.

out of 5Excellent commentary on the boat - city to the sea cruise. Red bus tour of city very informative and value for money quaylink services appreciated with our bus passes and the metro was a good means of seeing the surrounding area without a car. The millenium bridge is amazing and an extraordinary feat of engineering enjoyed seeing it 'blinking' and its illumination in the evening is worth seeing.
