Four of us stayed in 2 twin rooms for the weekend specifically to visit the Birmingham christmas market. We decided to stay at the holiday inn express as we could park the car for free and travel into Birmingham by bus or taxi. This turned out to be a great decision as the bus stop into Birmingham was right outside the hotel. It was really quick and cheap so we never bothered with any taxis. The staff at the hotel were amazingly friendly and helpful and there was nothing at all that we lacked. The rooms were not big but comfortable and spotless. Our free meal was delicious and far too plentiful. The hotel is ideally sited for a visit to Birmingham and surrounding area and ridiculously easy to find. We are going back next year. Thanks to everyone for a wonderful time, my sisters, my best friend and I had fun. :-).

Met up with a group of fellow royal navy veterans for the remembrance sunday parade & service, in Birmingham. Had a few hours window shopping in the bullring before heading home.

A family get together was arranged for a special birthday, very enjoyable stay, plenty to do and plenty of places to eat. Hotel very comfortable.

Hotel was adequate although I dont think I've ever slept on a harder bed or more uncomfortable pillows. We shared a family room- so the kids had pull out bed which left very little manouvering space. I dont think I would book family room here again-would have to be 2 rooms now. Top Gear live was excellent but very crowded with a lot of queueing, which with timed booked shows was really stressful.

Long time since we visited Birmingham and pleasantly surprised. The hotel is in a great central location for the shopping centre or canal walk. Breakfast was good and even though the hotel was full on the saturday night and very busy for breakfast the food was good and plentiful and amazingly the restaurant staff remained calm and attentive. You may want note that dinner is a choice of cantonese or asian food. We chose the cantonese and it was very good.
