out of 5Caught the great western train from paddington, smooth journey, should have taken a pack lunch as buffet prices were a bit steep, dont forget your ear phones for the tv's, but you can get them I think. Nice and clean and comfy. Got to bath found our hotel in Queens Square, right near everything, lovely hotel, bit creaky, but i like that, staff excellent, breakfast excellent, room right up in the heavens but i did ask for a quiet room but ours was quite small, looking over the rooftops. Walking distance of the crescent, park, jane austin centre, shops everything, a few police cars/ambulance went past the hotel so really was glad was at the back. We went on our break on the thursday 24th nov when the christmas market began, strolled round for a couple of days, thought I would pop back on the saturday before we came home and couldn't get near the place, market/shops etc absolutely crammed so glad we went in the week. I really liked the hotel, loved Bath, loads of resturants, if you look down little alleys old pubs tucked away, we wish we had gone to a resturant called 'sally lunn' the oldest house and the food looked lovely.
Weekend Away
A customer who stayed at 3* Travelodge Bath Waterside in Bath wrote this review.
Stay Date: 20/11/11
Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5Not a bad hotel but looks a little tatty and tired in places. Our room was fine but faced the main road so traffice noise could be heard for most of the night although not that bad. Our friends had to change rooms though as they were on the ground floor and the bedroom window didn't shut properly! staff very helpful and friendly. Ate in the bar and food although not a wide choice was good. Good location as only a short walk to both the centre of town and train station and parking reasonable £5 for 24 hours. Overall good value for money for a central hoel in Bath. Could be really good if travelodge invested in a bit of decoration.

out of 5Me and my girlfriend had a great weekend in Baths waterside hotel, the room was clean, overlooking the lake/basin, the only downside was that the bed was so soft, it was like sleeping on a waterbed lol. We will go back next year to see the christmas markets and would like to see the balloon fest too.
