Two Nights In Edingburgh

A customerwho stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Overall Hotel Rating:

4 out of 5

My daughter and I went for 2 night which wasnt long enough, there was lots of road works and didn't really know how to get around so walked most of the time which we were fine with, it would be better if it had something like London's underground. We went to the attractions in and around princes street and it did fill a whole day, we would of liked to see other attractions but found 2 nights wasn't long enough. What we saw we enjoyed and I think we would go back there again, food and drink wasn't any different in price to what we pay at home which was pleasing, I think I would recommend 3 nights instead of 2.

Nice Break

A customerwho stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Overall Hotel Rating:

Overall it was a nice relaxing break. We have heating problem in our hotel room and we initially thought people are used to low temperatures in scotland! when we mentioned this the next night, the hotel staff gave us the heater asap. The hotel staff was nice but they could be more proactive as we learnt that there was heating problem in most of the rooms on top floor. Weather was very windy so we couldn't go outside but overall it was a nice break.

Great Hotel, Views And Food, Shame About.........

A customerfrom UKwho stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

The environmental issues. Despite having a notice in the bathroom stating the hotels policy on saving water etc, our towels were changed every day despite us hanging them back up and not placed in the bath as requested if we wished for fresh towels. We stayed for 4 nights and in that time had 16 towels... Appalling! in a hotel of this size they should be ashamed of this total disgregard to our environment. I suggest they stick to their policies as shown on the bathroom notice or remove the notice as not to mislead their guests. This was the only fault with our stay and although it may seem trivial, the consequences, both environmentally and financially are indeed massive.

Rambles Around Edinburgh And North Berwick

Overall Hotel Rating:

Arrived by train and caught a bus to the hotel. Ticket system on the buses excellent especially £3.20 for a day ticket. View from hotel looked over edinburgh towards the castle. Especially beautiful at night. Walked and bussed round the city. Had a look at the new parliament building..Hideous!! visited the old parliament much better. Bought a baguette and sat in a square to eat it. Next day trained to north berwick. Great bird centre. Exciting boat trip to bass rock and other islands to see the seals. Good break!.
