View of Black Lizard Island from Magaluf Bay
Palma Nova and Magaluf in the south-west of Majorca are the largest and liveliest resorts on the island. Although Palma Nova is more family orientated, both offer vibrant nightlife aimed at young holiday makers and facilities such as two water parks, a bungee rocket and go-kart racing.

Palma Nova short break

Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5Hotel looked very impressive, very friendly staff, room basic but clean & functional, evening entertainment nightly. Breakfast was not very good so went out for breakfast, evening meal fine, lot of choice so could find something to eat. Found 'Banana Joes' a bar which is open til 4am & played RnB so that was great. Had great fun, there seemed plenty for families to do in local area too.
Not For The Faint Hearted

out of 5Got to say the reception staff were miserable, didn't crack a smile once. The restaurant staff were downright rude, but the girls waiting the bar were very pleasant and at least smiled at us. The hotel itself caters for groups of people which as we were on a hen party of 13 suited us perfectly. The nightlife was pretty good, although I didn't expect to be virtually dragged into the bars by the promotional staff. One even swiped one of our hats and ran inside the pub to get us in there. All in all great place for a few days and when in groups, but would never go under different circumstances
Magaluf - May 2007

out of 5Plenty to do for everybody. This was a lads weekend so we spent most of the time in the bars but have been to Magaluf a few times before and have enjoyed lots of walking, beaches, bars, restaurants, trips to Palma and other parts of the island. Excellent for short breaks or longer depending what you want to get out of it. We spent a lot of time at Legends Bar which is just across the road and down a bit on the right hand side from BCM's. Dave and Anita are very welcoming and drinks are a very decent price (2 euros for beer & lager) compared to the strip prices. Plus all those reps trying to drag you in to their bars on the strip just do my head in!! Poonams Indian Restaurant at the top of the strip was good also.

A customerfrom Londonwho stayed at 2* Don Bigote in Palma Nova (Majorca) wrote this review.
Stay Date: 13/05/06
Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5I was impressed with Don Bigote Hotel the only complaints are that you do not have TV's in your room and if you get a room on the end it is smaller. However the staff and guests were friendly, the food had plenty of choice and was of good quality, the location was ideal also. We enjoyed the beaches were beautiful. The glass bottom boat trip was OK a little uneventful, I was glad I only went on a 1/2 day trip.
